I'm surprised not to have seen a thread on this movie yet. Anybody seen it?

I want to, but I forgot to go this weekend.

Although, I think Tarrantino is highly overrated lately.
He has had two good movies, some mediocre ones and some crap.
Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction were great movies, From Dusk Till Dawn was mediocre, and Kill Bill/Death Proof were both crap.

'From Dusk Till Dawn' was co-written by him, but it was directed by Robert Rodriguez (same guy that did 'Planet Terror').

I like his movies - they are always entertaining...even if goofy at times. If nothing else, I appreciate his direction and narrative style.

I can't stand Pitt, but went to see it anyway on the weekend. It's vinatge Tarantino. His late-'60s style with Mexican pop and such seems out of place in a WWII movie, but it somehow works. Even Pitt wasn't so hard to take because he sounded like a congenital idiot every time that he opened his mouth.

It's bloody, but not as bloody as Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs. I heard one reviewer this morning who described it in an interesting way; "Jewish porn", due to the fact that the "hard-bitten American commandos" are almost all Jewish. I could see where that comes from, but it isn't entirely accurate either.

The previews look pretty cool. There are a few movies either already out or coming out soon that I want to see and this is one of them.

Decent movie.

The only thing "good" about it was the idea behind it.

Law abiding citizen looks like its going to be a great movie.

I saw it over the weekend and generally liked it. The gore was a bit much for my liking but wasn't a turn-off as it was relevant to the point he was trying to make. Great story line IMO.

Awesome movie, it had me laughing from start to finish. For those Pitt haters he had almost a minor role, a supporting actor at best and, this was probably the best movie he has ever been in. Although, the best charachter was the Nazi, followed close by Mike Meyers and the Bear Jew.

Yes the movie is total jew porn, I being a jew pretty much had a boner the entire time.

Anyway, its not a movie that needs to be seen in a theater, but it was worth the free tickets I got to see it with and the $9 I paid for popcorn and a soda. I give it 2 thumbs up.

Just saw it tonight and liked it a lot. Not very gory, just a few things that I could see being gross if you dont like gore. Overall pretty funny at times and a good story to it.

I finally got to see it and I definitely dug it.

I wish that Diane Kruger had shown some titties or something.

I'm slightly disappointed in the lack of perverted sexual acts that tend to be in Tarantino movies.

Saw it, enjoyed it but probably not enough to watch it again. A better Jew Vs Nazi movie is 'Defiant' with Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber. It was based on a true story.
Tarantino missed so many opportunities for backstory and character development in Basterds. He coulda left out some of the idle chit chat and done better.

And I'm far from being a Brad Pitt fan, but I quite liked the movie and felt that he made it with his performance.

It wasn't the movie they advertised. I didn't think the whole Shosanna story brought much to the table. There was also a lot of talk about all the shit the Basterds did to build up their reputation, but little of it was shown. That should have been the heart of the movie IMO. I thought it was OK, but nothing special.

I wasnt a big a fan. Im a huge Tarantino fan, but I didnt like this one.

I find it wierd that `Hell Ride`, produced by tarantino (written & co-directed by Larry Bishop tholugh), was the best thing he`s touched since Pulp Fiction, and it was completely overlooked.

I liked Hell Ride a little bit. The acting and directing was atrocious, but Dennis Hopper saved it. Overall, it was a 2.5 stars, but it was enjoyable for a one time watch.

JT is still one of the sexiest men alive, in my book right up there with Sean Connery (ignoring the whole scientology part). His new movie looks like it may be worth seeing. I LOVE him as a bad guy, Face Off was one of his best.

Pelam 123 was pretty decent...not great. Travolta's character was pretty cool.

Inglorious Bastard's was pretty decent too. I did get a kick out of Pitt's character as well.

I'll have to check out Travolta's new movie at some point too.

I saw 3 other movies recently that I got from Netflix and all were decent in their own right but not for everyone...kind of dark and strange.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Seven Pounds

Edmund...really dark and strange....I didn't rent this..just happened to catch it late at night on an Independant Movie Channel.

There are several people in Hollywierd that I don't like but will still watch their movie. Some are good actors...I just hate when they open their mouth in public.

I don't go to the theaters much anymore but if it's on TV or through something cheap like Netflix...I'll watch them.
