Wings had game in hand and let up two fucking goals in 9 seconds - two defense breakdowns.. unacceptable.. if you are up 3-2 in the other team's arena don't sit back you have to attack.. well i took the wings in 5 in this series anyways.. you had to know the preds would swallow one up just don't like to see it happen this way.. other than datsyuk's goal i don't think the wings had one quality shot in the 3rd period.. it was sick.. wednesday is a time for redemption and then bring it back home on friday to close the series..

That game was fucked up.. up 3-2 with just over 3 minutes left and they give up 2 within 9 seconds of each other.. Where is the Hasek of old. Giving up 4 goals(I don't count the empty netter at the end) in a night in uncharacteristic of him.

well although i am not very happy with hasek's play and i can definitely say he scares me a little bit - notice lately that on a routine cover up he sits on the ice for like 5 minutes and gets up real slow? wtf is that? its like his mind knows what his body needs to do but the two are not in sync so he is second guessing.. so yes its not the hasek of old for sure..

but the 2 goals in 9 seconds are both defensive breakdowns and unacceptable.. yeah hasek should have saved at least 1 of the 2 but when you play on your heels that shit happens.. I look at goal # 2 also and it was another 2 on one.. hasek was millimeters from making a brillant save..

i think hasek and the wings will come back strong in game 4..

the good news is now they can take the series at home..

you most definitely can't expect to go 16-0 in the playoffs and really imo its good for the wings to drop one like this because it inspires them otherwise they get lackadaisical..

# 2 San Jose vs. # 5 Dallas - My pick = Sharks in 7 - Sharks had a second win in game 7 of the first round vs. a tough Calgary. Dallas had a short break after their 6 game first round series so they will come out strong and maybe even steal a game at San Jose in game 1 or 2 - but in the end the Sharks will grind it out

# 1 Montreal vs. # 6 Philadelphia - My pick = Montreal in 6. Is this series even worth watching? Montreal struggled with Boston in the first round and will continue to struggle a bit in round 2 but Philly is weak and the # 1 seed will at least make it to the big show for Eastern Conference finals against the Pens who will smother them out

# 2 Pittsburgh vs. # 5 New York - My pick = Pens in 6. My original thought was Pens in 4 as after a decent rest after the sweep in the first round they are going to come out strong in round 2. But during the regular season NYR duked it out fairly well with the Pens. If the Pens had solid goaltending they would sweep this and round 3 but they don't so they will need to play solid defense and more importantly pepper the head bobbing bitch Lundgvist who will gladly allow 3-5 goals a game to the Pens.

The youth and energy (also inexperience) of the Penguin's youngins' and the work ethic and experience of the Wing's Veterans... both exlplosive offensive teams, but with Lidstrom, Chelios, Rafalski and the rest of the wings D I see Detroit having the slight edge on defense.

I had to turn that bitch off after the 1st OT. I was falling asleep. About a minute before the Pens tied it up in the 3rd....my wife says "The Pens look like a high school team playing the Red Wings."

They really played like shit in the 3rd until the goal with :34 to go.

I only saw the final wings goal last night. I don't think the pens had control of the puck for longer than 2 seconds while I was watching. I am really surprised the pens won any games after seeing that.

Its soooo ainfully obvious how bad the NHL wants Pitt to win this series, or at least go 7 games with Detroit. SInce the first two outright whoopings the Wings gave them all of the calls have been so far up pittsburghs ass that it isn't even like they are trying to hide it.
