I've got two 1125Rs with a few miles on them.

One has 700, the other has 268.

We are selling both of them for $8,100.

Give me a shout.

Why so many used 1125's down there? What are they trading them in on with so few miles?

This is like three now that he's posted on this board. I'm just wondering what the deal is. Maybe people don't like them, thats fine, just seems like alot of 1125's with absolute minimal miles.

Maybe his dealership pulls a lot of demo bikes. Buell does do a bunch of demo rides around the country.:idk:

My dealer refuses to demo them until they're broken in by them.

I'll pass these Buell deal links to a friend that totalled his R6. Still mending from a broken finger on his clutch hand but he'll be buying something not too far down the road. He just got some screws taken out of his hand yesterday and I don't think that was all that fun so I'll give it a day or two before hitting him with these.

Why so many used 1125's down there? What are they trading them in on with so few miles?

These two bikes are "used" (have been titled to an individual). I know the story behind both of them, and they were both sold out of our shop.

The one with 700 miles, the guy came off of a cruiser and scared the crap out of himself with the 1125R. He parked it for two months afraid to get on it and brought it into us to sell it for him on consignment.

The one with 268 miles on it I sold to the guy 3 weeks ago. His girlfriend talked him into getting a sportbike (they had a HD Streetglide). After 3 weeks she made him get rid of it because it wasn't comfortable. We are selling it on consignment for him.

These are not demo bikes (although we have a 2009 White/Blue demo with 1112 miles on it for $9400) but were purchased by people who got the bike they asked for but not the bike they wanted.

MSRP on these is $12,590, so these are a steal.

We are working to consolidate bikes from other dealers, so we will be getting in more 1125R and 1125CR bikes soon. They don't know how to sell them, and we love to sell them, so we are buying them below dealer cost and passing the savings on to you.

We will do a "fly and ride" deal where we can give some concessions for travel, hotel, shipping back your unneeded junk, etc.

We'll even take you out to east Tennessee (Deal's Gap, Cherohala Skyway) if you have the time to do go.

Who you calling stupid? The economy didn't force someone to only put 268 fucking miles on a bike in however long he owned it. Obviously, there was something about the bike he didn't like. That doesn't mean that it's a bad bike but like FB said he didn't get the bike he wanted/needed.

I don't think griney male was calling anyone stupid. I think he was referencing the 1992 political slogan "It's the economy, stupid!" in referencing why there were so many bikes on the market.

I picked up the want ads today, looking for a cherry YZ450F, when Tiggers post came to mind when I read...
06 CBR1000 1000 mi- 6200
06 VTX1800 30 actual mi bought new in MB for 10,500
06 VT1800 673 mi for 7500...
apparently alot of folks buy em and dont ride em?

You'd be surprised how many VERY low mileage bikes we take as trade ins.

I've seen an 04 Sportster with 1500 miles on it.

That's just mean to do to a motorcycle.

Plenty, honestly. The rear is just starting to square off...probably b/c when I do ride it's 2 up.

I found that once it starts to square, there is not a lot left, and it goes fast. Don't know if it's because o solid center section making it look like there is more or what. :idk:
Anyway... I got 2900 out of the first one, swapped it before my track day. Had some left, but not enough for the track IMO. Second one got 3200 out of, no cords showing, but was getting thin. Front lasted through both of them, and had a little left yet, but was getting really squared off.

Pilot Powers on there now, and they are wearing much better. Should easily get 5K out of them.

Ill put another rear on it then probly go with Road 2's.

The diablos are the same way. No tread cutout in the center, so it's decieving. I thought I had a lot of miles left on the last set, but then I was seeing cords. Still got 5,000 miles on the rear.

I've got a used 2005 XB12S. Red with 6,000 miles on it.

We are supposed to be getting it in this week. Might fit the bill just right.
