We'll probably all have to start carrying around $100 bills after inflation kicks in due to all the damn money being printed for stimulus this and stimulus that.

neat but there is no bill higher than a 100 dollar bill, worked in a bank for a little while, we learn these things.

really? thought they'd be legal but just removed through attrition... even so they'd be worth $ to collectors...

i donno man they're prolly exchangeable for face value somehow.

but the problem is nobody can accept them due to counterfeit laws (http://purpleslinky.com/offbeat/500-to-1000-to-10000-and-beyond-the-biggest-dollar-bills-in-united-states-history/)

I remember reading about some guy that inherrited his parents depression era house when they died and he found hundreds of thousands of dollars in very large bills that are no longer in circulation and he was able to trade them in for current bills with the fed then deposit them in a bank. I also seem to remember that the guy was also fielding offers from money collectors too, so I may be wrong.

right right, thats my point. you'd have to contact the fed. reserver to exchange them, no bank would ever honor them.
