Since we all don't have suitcases and can't carry everything possible on our bikes. What is your favorite toolbox MUST-ALWAYS have item?

It doesn't necessarily have to be something that you carry with you at all times, but something you have in the garage.

Nice setup Gasman!

I would have to go with my allen key set, or my rear stand.

Carry on me? Gerber or pocket knife.

In the tool box... ratchet wrenches.

Nice.

A few questions:

How do you have the Condor mounted?

Is there enough room without the Condor to have a sportbike on there on front and rear stands (i.e. no wheels)?

What brand is it? Air or hydro or both?

If its in my toolbox its a MUST HAVE item.

Most important though is my ratchet/socket kit and 1/4" drive screwdriver bits.

I used the trailer mount to put the condor on there so that I can easily remove it and use it else where.

Its a direct lift. All air powered. With the deluxe package on the lift, 2 scissor jacks, dolly, side extensions, chopper extension, the condor for regular bikes, different chaulk for the choppers, boomarang bar for added stability, etc... I have a great deal of money wrapped up in it.

The lift w/o extension is 4' W x 9' L So yes everything ona sportbike would fit.

Ratchet set because of the funny noise. Really though.. It'd have to be the ratchet set + allen keys + screw driver set.

Can't really just choose one because for the most part I need a combo of the above to do anything at all.

I learned I need to build a decent toolkit to replace the stock nonsense. Cheap ass junk! Couldn't even remove the handlebar bolts without spreading the jaws of the wrench- at 15 ft-lbs!

I'll just replace everything in there with real steel tools. Or titanium if I get a windfall

I always have my Gerber multi tool with me. Can't live without it.

I also made myself a custom tool-roll with everything in it to completely tear down my bike that stays in the tail bag. Don't leave home without it.

Mine would have to be a nail file. Not because I'm that girly, but I just HATE having nails with snags in them and that can happen at any give time.

The only other addition to the factory tool kit is my 22mm socket for my front axle. Talk about expensive, $30! But it makes my life MUCH easier when changing the front.

T-27 torx bit. I cannot do anything to the Buell without it.

For sure when I got the ultra I had to buy a set of t-handle torx drivers and a set of torx sockets. Can not function without. But I will also say... the HD tool kit has almost every tool you need to do most things!

Whenever dealing with torx... ALWAYS try the next size larger. ALWAYS This will ensure you dont f up the bolt.

In the Garage , it has to be My cheap Lift from good ole Harbor Freight. I have to Say with the Suzuki's I have had great luck with the on board tool kits. Two additional things I carry are a set of Metric Allen Keys and a small but LED flash light.

Worst part about my torx sockets is that from 27 to 30 also changes from 3/8 to 1/2 drive

Same bit as Marko, but I use a quarter inch ratchet with an extension and multi head attachement. That way I have all the torx and Allen wrenches I need in one handy set up.

When I drink in the garage while working on something, I sometimes get the urge to fire up the air compressor and get crazy with the nail gun.
