So I'm searching for a Cycle Cat stand for RacerX and what do I stumble on to but a cornucopia of deals...

http://www.oncycles.com/index.asp

Some stand outs were $180 set of Alth front rotors for my bike! A $40 Knox back protector! A $700 Matrix hydraulic preload shock for my bike. Ceramic wheel bearing kits for $250!!!! Oh and a billet top triple clamp from Cycle Cat for........$50!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and the stand that Azoom recommends is $130 for the rear.

That back protector isn't worth $40.

Is that the side handled stand? You need that for your bike. I don't think the normal stand will work.

RACER X
09-15-2009, 01:18 PM
yeah they can order it in.

actually i did try a normal stand, and the orig. owner had cut that giant mudflap down, so it fit.

but i'll prolly get the single side one anyways.

Yea I know!!!! They are brooming the steering dampers for <$300 too!

Oh and as far as the back protector goes... it's CE approved and better than no back protector. Sometimes I really wonder why I bother.

They also have a HD motorsports camcorder for <$300 although I saw a 680X460 for $50 on Amazon.:idk:

Oh and what does that cost? ;) I thought this would be a nice piece to replace the piece of 1/4'' foam found in most jackets.

Knox equipment is inherently dangerous, especially to children.

I'm not knocking what you got and if that's what you're using it for that's great.

I was just clearing up the confusion.

(oh and that little gem was 90 pounds so I'd say about $200 USD)

I have a set of nitros, they aren't bad, They are pretty comfortable, and I've had them for 2 years already, I think I paid $50 for mine. On the other hand they look cheesy, my right sole separated a little (fixed with 2 part epoxy), and I question how much protection they offer vs the big name/big price boots. They are still better than sneakers

I guess we have different definitions of "shitty" Anytime, a boot that is supposedly designed to protect you in a crash, FALLS APART from normal wear, well I call that shitty!!!
I've heard a similar story from every other person that's bought them, so I won't reccomend them.

You get what you pay for, I bought a $50 boot, I got a $50 dollar boot. I wasnt expecting anything more, in fact I was expecting less than what I did get out of them, so my definition is that they exceeded my expectations, and surpassed the $50 value that I paid.

I kinda figured that... I like my Icon Field Armors a lot, but they are too big and clunky... plus on long rides on the super slab I tend to drag my toes so they are worn down quite a bit in the front... almost to a sharp edge...

LIES!!

That PowerStand kicks ASS over the Pit Bull. And, you NEED the side arm - if you're going to order it anyway, get the better stand. The arm is longer on the PowerStand, you'll need that on the beast you're trying to lift.

Pshaw! Have you seen this guy? Leverage will not be a problem!!! Although, I do agree that the Powerstand does look good! Has anybody tried the Cycle Cat stand or a reverse handle stand, just curious. I considered trying to replicate the Cycle Cat style of stand but gave it up.:idk:

I was able to use a normal stand on mine, but I tried several normal stands that would not work.
The taillight is the issue.

I also had problems with rear stands on the 'Busa but I found that careful placement of the "feet" usually netted positive results!

The second gen is worse, because the taillight sticks out further than the rear tire.
