Let me start off by saying, I barely ever ride in a group. Redrider2k2 asked me to go on one, and I made the 3 hour round trip to join in. Keep in mind the 3 hours had me cover about 240 miles just to get to the starting point. And then we rode for another 4 hours or so.

Anyway, here they are..

Meeting up. Redrider checking out my bike. Can't blame him. It's sexy..

And we're off. Red and his gf are ahead of me, followed by a whole bunch of people I don't know.

Get some of the scenery in..

Shortly after, this idiot almost lost it flying through the road in his hooptie. He was going so fast he didn't even register until he was side and side with me.

The first stop.

Couple on the move shots. Red and his gf behind me.

Our second stop. Have to throw in a gratuitous sexy Buell pic in..

http://i38.tinypic.com/2rdcf44.jpg

Out of the 9 or 10 bikes. We had 3 04 or 05 zx10s.

http://i37.tinypic.com/2u3z2gn.jpg

Our final stop. We had some food and gassed up the bikes. This is where we parted ways. I went off on my own through backroads back home. Here is Red making fun of me because I couldn't figure out how to clean my visor.. "If only there was a source of water nearby..."

http://i35.tinypic.com/jr34zr.jpg

And last but not least, another group of faster riders set out behind us. They never caught up. This is why.
http://i33.tinypic.com/16aurnm.jpg He lost the front end in dirt at 100mph. Walked out of it with a broken collarbone.

That's all folks. I know they're not much, but trying to add some bike content.

Cool pics.

It looks like a well mixed group.

I like seeing the "less than common" bikes (ZX7, ZX11, Bandit, XX, etc.) :dthumb:

You ever see a zx11 next to a blackbird?

http://i37.tinypic.com/8wi44h.jpg

I actually felt bad for the guy riding the blackbird. He was behind me for the first half of the ride and my bike is loud as fuck..

I knew if anyone would spot that, it would be Karl:lol:

My friend that owns the ZX11 also owns a 12 and a GSXR1100.

The guy that wrecked was actually on a 95 ZX9.

There was also another guy that went down in that group right around the same time. I dont know what he was riding but I think HE was the one with the broken Collerbone. The guy that went down at a Buck-Sixty walked away with nothing but a bruised Tail Bone:wtf:

A large section of the road gets really tight and the girls didnt really get any pics from the back. It's usually referred to as the "Little Cabot Trail" but this year it's starting to be called "Little Deals Gap" because someone has wrecked in it on almost a weekly basis. This guy with the ZX9 decided he should start his own Tree of shame....

Another guy who was riding solo came up on the wreck and was a little lost and low on Fuel. The Kawi sacrificed it's final tank of fuel to keep the poor Yamaha going:lol:

Nope! It's still going strong but the tide would have taken it if we wouldnt have pushed it back up on the road after his little photo shoot:lol:

Is this some racist shit cause I didn't see any black people. :lol

Looks cool...what was the temp outside? The ZX7R tires look like hard street tires.

The warmest it was that day was 17 celsius.
When I hit the highway in the morning, it was 8 or 9. I had snowboard pants on..

Here's a 10 minute clip of the road. The guy riding it seems unfamiliar with it, but it'll give you an idea.

As a matter of fact, two of the 3 ZX10s that were on this ride with us, are now in pretty rough shape thanks to two more trips through this road:bash:

We went through it again yesterday at a very slow pace since some of our Cruiser friend's were tagging along. My bike is currently sans Chain so I was running on Charity. My friend Al took his 12 and gave the old 11 to me for the day. I find it really weird to ride other people's bikes but he insisted. Made for a very good time. Who would have thought the 11 would pull harder than my Bandit?

It was awesome. Even 2up with my GF all day it was still nice and comfy (The Corbin seat may have played a role in that). We broke away from the cruisers a few times and it was a blast to open up. 10 years old and still pulled hard and smooth as hell. Even when we were taking it easy with the cruisers, the bottom end was great. It's nice not having to make it scream to get some power out of it. I'm a big fan of Torque:D

Well, the green is an 04 because the R in ZX-10R on the tail section is gold. They were red in 05. And I would venture to guess the orange is also an 04 but hard to tell from its angle in the picture.

I was going to ask if this was 507 in Ontario but I'm guessing not.

The 507 is in my backyard. Redrider is in New Brunswick

The green one is an 05 and I'm almost positive that the orange one is too. Could be a Canadian thing.
