Could I get the link kind mentioned kind sir? I'm using pp's now, would give 2ct's a shot.
And let me know how you like the pirelli's, I'm up for a change. Italian rubber on Italian rims can't be too bad.

Corsa IIIs rock, just don't ride hard in the rain unless you can get them up to temp, I would still be wary even at temp in the rain.

You like them better than pp's? Hows the road feel, warm up time and traction compared to pp's?
I don't ride in the rain at all, call me a pussy but after I wrecked in it a couple years ago I just don't see the point. Obviously it would help my street racing skills like laurence fishuburne in biker boys but I can't afford a busa yet anyway.

Corsa III's destroy pp's, they aren't in the same level of soft/sticky tire. How they compare to PP 2CTs I don't know, I will find out on my next set of track tires though.

DUDE! Where the hell did you get DC3's for 240 shipped?!?!?!? I want a set of those. Bad. TWO magazine did a trackday tire test and DC3's beat out 2ct's, Conti's, hell, even diablo supercorsas and Power Races. I'm running power races right now, and I'm happy with them, but for 240, FUCK that's $90 less then what I spend for one weekend!
As for the 2ct's, you'll love them, I did four trackdays on a set, two at Barber and two at Jennings and they stuck great. Til they didn't, and I lowsided. But I was pushing WAY too hard, 1:29's on tires with four days on them. I've done two days on a set since then and they're great.

The Corsa III's come stock on the 1125R. I like 'em so far, but haven't pushed them yet as there is a lot of sand on the roads.

2ct's or DC3's?
I've done a total of six trackdays on 2ct's and I have always been very pleased. Between the two I'd go with the DC3, from what I've seen it's a better tire, but I don't have first hand experience. I have had plenty of experience on Pirelli, both Dragon Slicks and Dragon Supercorsa Pro's. I like Pirelli. Here's the thing, IMO, Michelin's hold great, til then don't, and they give almost NO warning. Pirelli's don't have quite the same traction, but when they slide they give you plenty of warning and are easy to control. Again, that's just my opinion on the tires, I could be way off base.

They're great track tires. Use warmers, they're not as happy about heat cycles as Michelin's, and they get tore up, but you will like them. Like I said, I think they have slightly less traction at the edge, but they slide very nice, and very easy to recover. Every time I stick it out there on Power Races I feel like I'm going to highside.

If nothing else there's a company that makes these neoprene tire covers that you can wrap your tires with that will keep them from cycling quite as bad. I'll look around and see if I can find them.
EDIT: I can't seem to find them, maybe they don't make them anymore. You can run them w/o warmers, but I wouldn't trust them past about two days. Or you could get some high-temp insulating material and make your own insulated covers. Take them to an upholstery place, it would be easy and cheap.

It's not necessarily mileage. Just be careful when you take it out, be very gradual in your lean angles, and be careful with the throttle. You'll be fine after about 50-100 miles.

Good street tire, you can run them on the track, but for the money either the Diablo Rosso or Michelin 2ct is a better deal.

1 lap.
Or for street riding, gradually increase lean angle throughout the ride until you're using as much as you're comfortable with. I wouldn't just wail into your first turn dragging knee... might be a little slippery.

Yeah, I would say they're probably comparable to the regular Pilot Power. My opinion on Pirelli vs Michelin, at least with their track tires, Michelin's have better traction, but when they let go, they're pretty much gone, with very little warning. Pirelli's don't have quite the same grip, but when they let go it's very predictable and you can tell it's coming.

Granted, nothing but the stockers on the SV to compare to though.
They grip, i've even had the 1125 leaned into a corner on cold concrete and hit a patch of sand. The recovered nicely with just a bit more lean. I'm confidant i could drag the pods on that bike before the tires let go!!
