Went out for a few hours on the bike today, when i got home it was 34 degrees! Was wearing thick furry gloves, wool socks, thermals, jeans, and rain pants(for wind breaking) t shirt, hoodie, Columbia ski coat!! didnt get too cold besides my knees and fingers, gonna look into some heated gloves..
side note: GSXR 1000 does not like heavy throttle inputs on 34 degree pavement!

Still. Without the wind here it was 60s but the wind really cooled it off.

I'm one to talk, watched football, washed truck, took F4I out for about 10 miles, realized I left my wallet and license at home so I came back home and never went back out.

It was in the low 30's yesterday morning but warmed up to the low to mid 50's which isn't too bad.
Low to mid 30's...fvck it I'll take the Z06. The supercharger loves the cool air. :rockout:

It was 31 here this AM at 6:30 when I suited up and rode to work
Tried the heated gloves WITH the heated grips and overcooked my freakin hands  had to unplug the gloves...WHOO way overkill for 31....maybe when it's 20 (for the 3-4 days a year it's that cold here)

I've never tried heated gear. I did try heated grips on a bike and even a snowmobile when I was at Snowshoe and they were nice.

They were pretty useful when I tried them out and seem pretty easy to install.

Always wondered how they would work. I think if I just have the air deflectors like on motorcross bikes I would be OK.

Grips are great.....if you have wind protection for your hands...otherwise the outside of your hands are frozen while the insides are hot.
If your'e on a bike where you hands get a lot of wind heated gloves are the way to go.
On the motard the gloves are the :boobs: where heated grips would just be a tease

What do you recommend in terms of heated gloves? that seems the way I should go when i think about it

I've got the gerbing heated gloves....and they have the single connection that can be used with First Gear heated clothes (which helps with variety and controls if thats your thing)
The only other part of me that ever gets cold is the tops of my thighs. I may get the heated socks and simply place them in that position. If I do that I'll get the dial controller.
The motard doesn't put out enough amps to really get the gloves TOO hot, but the BMW will melt your fingers. Most sportbikes should be a good balance between the two (I imagine)
The great thing about gerbings is you can go in cheap initially (JUST gloves) and you can add components as you can afford (or want) them

it was 25 this morning with frost on the ground and the back end kept wanting to break free under anything but the most conservative throttle application.
oh, and I hardly ever use the heated grips on the sled so I haven't put any on my bike.
I used the ones on the sled a few times and my hands got warm and then started to sweat and then the outsides got REALLY freakin' cold

Thats the reason I don't ride under 30...not out of cold, but out of anticipation of ice. Either by dew or by possible puddle or a sprinkler gone wild..etc

I bet it wasn't 40* when I left this morning. Legs and ankles were a little cold, but not bad. Damn broken Jeep, forced me to take bike.
