So I came home today to the large box in our entry way. Cutty is about 200 miles away so I send him a text asking if he knew why there was a huge box in our entry way....... He sent a text back saying to open... It was like freakin christmas....... He bought riding pants.... WHOOOOO HOOOO..... He bought one for size comparision... So I tried them on and they fiT!!!!!!!!!!! So now i have riding pants... They will be nice in the 20-30-40 degree weather in the morning....
Isn't he the greatest!!!!!!!! It's ALMOST better than the engagement ring I was hinting at :whistle:

Now he just has to try them on when he gets home to see if they fit him too. Then he's ordering his pants too

Very thoughtful gift, pics with nothing but the pants on or ban.

And holy shit, he can wear the same size pants as you? A girl would have to be epic, what's eating gilberts grape fat to wear the same size as me. I'm assuming you're both just smallish though.

So I decided to take my bike to my grandparents which is about 30 miles round trip. So I threw on the new pants.... Took a while to get my boots on with them already on. So I took off and they were a little stiff. But after a while, it was like i didn't even have them on. It was great. Normally my legs would freeze right away but they were nice and warm!!!!

And yes, guys I will get picks out there in full gear soon. so calm down.

But yes overall my opinion of these are

Well, today was my first true test of these pants and LOVE THEM... It was freaking 29* out when I left this morning...... SOOOOOO damn cold. My legs were warm. My hands on the other hand were freezin.
By the time I got to work it was 31*. I have a 22 mile drive. Average speeds are about 65...Then I hit interestate and my spedo said 92. But the guy infront of me was pulling away. I just stayed with him. I was suprised on how warm I still was.
So yeah, overall greatly love these pants. Just haven't mastered the whole putting my boots on after. The bending over isn't really great fun.... :dthumb:

Grip heaters FTW!

I was thinking that I would get decent gloves. I have textile gloves(? I think thats what they are called) and they let air through. Well this morning the air was not so warm. I though abuot grip heaters..... I will have to look into them. Any suggestions on what brand/types are good. Remember I have NO mechanical experience so it needs to be something that I would be able to install with reading instructions.....

Grip heaters are pretty easy to install, and you can get as fancy as you like. I think I posted my install on TWF. Best place to start is by getting some insulated gloves. I have the Cortech Scarab Winter and I used them down to 20 F before I got grip heaters. Of course, it doesn't matter what gloves you have, or if you have the best/hottest grip heaters ever, your fingers will get cold- it's just a matter of how long.

I'd still look into some winter gloves... just for those cold mornings... I've never ridden with grip heaters... but I can't imagine them helping all that much with vented gloves!
