I'll attest to that. I'm somewhere in Afghanistan right now, and I can tell you this- there is some pretty country out here. It's really too bad it's so fucked up.

He's shooting what appears to be an M-249 SAW (could be a 240B, I can't tell from that angle). Looks like he is reloading/doing something with his ammo bag to me.

I'm not a solider so :idk: My weapon was an F-14 tomcat. Not as a pilot, but I maintained/repaired them aboard an aircraft carrier.

Yeah the mountains in the 'Stan are amazing. Shame that place is such a hell hole right now. Kabul was nice during the spring (aside from all the pollutants).

BAF wasn't too bad, lots of mountains and very scenic.

Very cool pics...thanks for posting.

My thoughts are with all of our troops that are serving in that hell hole. Pretty place I agree though.
