That's so cool. It's like driving truck. You've been to every town, but you only see the stages and hotels.

Judging by her tour schedule, you're going to be a very busy girl for the next five months.
Have a good tour, truss monkey. :nee:

It's an 18 month tour if everything confirms and I might get to spend some time in Europe! My fingers and toes are crossed
But it's not every weekend so I'll still have plenty of time for riding.

Damn, even with breaks, 18 months is a long haul.
How many points is the rig?

Oh god our stuff alone is prolly 20 something. We have 145 moving light fixtures and roughly 30 non moving lights out there.
I really have no details about this yet because I found out half an hour before work ended today that I was confirmed on it.

Wow. I've been out of the loop for a while. Most of the shows I worked on had maybe 20 Vari-Lites, tops. They were the big, 1/4 refrigerator-sized bastards that broke all the time.
The other problem was, back then, they were relatively new and hardly anyone could program them worth a shit.
Damn I'm old.

Um, you call that moving up? I call that a step down. Who ya gonna smoke weed with now? Martina doesn't hang out with Willie, so you just lost access to the good shit.

Moving from one shitty singer to another doesn't sound like moving up.
Moving from one shitty singer to another doesn't sound like moving up.
Same could be said about the music you listen to, they aren't the most talented or even decent singers out there. They really shouldn't even be classified as singers.

I don't disagree with you. Most people don't understand my kind of music.

It doesn't really work that way. You don't pick the tours you work on based on musical preferences. When you're working 20 hour days, all you care about is the crew (can I work with these people) and the MONEY BABY!
Everything else is like, yeah-whatever. It's not like you hang out with the band, that's a whole different bus.

I fucking understand, son.

What's to understand? I understand it fine, it's not like it's rocket science. I just don't listen to it. Just don't complain about music you don't like if your own music is not of any more signficance and can't take the same shit.

You don't understand why we like it.

Yes, I do, same reason thugs like rap. Same reason country boys like country. It's not all that complicated.

Is Martina McBride bigger than Toby Keith nowadays?? Weird.
Congrats! Sounds like a ridiculously cool, but tiring job.

I don't know any of her songs but would probably know if I heard them.
Toby I remember from his fued with the Dixie Chicks over Bush.
I just don't really know much about country music even though I live in an area that I'm surrounded by it.

So I've been laid off and Am no longer 100% sure I have this tour......:td:
Moving from one shitty singer to another doesn't sound like moving up.
It's moving up because I'd have more responsibility and they trust me to do a much bigger tour. (Not cause of the singer )

Weird question, but what's the name of Toby's personal assistant? Someone we knew claimed she was friends with her and we're just curious as to just how full of shit she was.....

Only other female out with him was his back up singer Mica. He did have a show dog rep out last year her name was Megan.

After two and a half weeks of rehearsals, programming and VERY late nights I can't wait to get this freaking tour started. UGH all we've done is change things, add lights here remove lights there, remove lights or add new lights all together. MAKE UP YOU'RE FREAKING MIND.....lol
We've had nothing but bad luck with this rig so far. I've gotten home no earlier than 1am every night other than last night and had to be back downtown nashville at 9am the next morning. We've stayed as late as 3am on two occasions in the last week.
