This was completely unexpected by my entire family, but meet Casper. He's a male lab, rottweiler and husky mix. He's 3 going on 4 months old. Quick background info - sister's friend has puppies they don't want. They offered us a puppy for free and we took him. He was a bit neglected (fed well, but left outside without much interaction.. had a couple ticks, possibly fleas), but he's now spoiled. None of us really expected to have a new member of the family so soon after our loss, but he's here to stay.

If anyone is in the area and wants a puppy there are still a few females looking for good homes. They don't have his eyes, but they're still cute.

Tell me about it. Just by staring at me he managed to get me to play with him for a couple of hours. He also tried to steal my history book, which I took as an invitation to cast aside the homework and procrastinate a bit more.

That's a good question. In fact, its one we've all been wondering. It's still too early to tell what'll happen. None of us has seen his parents either, so we have nothing to go by.

Ok i know this is a bit girly but I got an extra puppy book at Pug O Rama where you can write/journal your dogs progress and paste pictures in and everything. Kind of like scrap booking. Let me know if you want it and i'll mail it to you.

Looking at his paws in relation to the size of his body (with the slippers to guage his current size), I'd say he's not going to be very big. I'm betting around 40lbs, but not much more with 60lbs being the max. Let me know when he hits a year how close I am. :)

I was using his paws and legs as a reference to compare to my old lab, and I agree I don't think he'll be very big. But, his tail throws me off a bit since its about the size of his body now. I'll be sure to post again when he hits a year.

thats where mine is going to end up but I got 2 of them for a $1 so i figured I can give one away to an super ambitious person!

Paws don't look that big, but all the crosses are decent size dogs. I'd say a good 50lbs.
Love the eyes! The head is all Lab, but those eyes are 100% husky.

40lbs? Thats no dog. Thats a big cat.
