I didn't... did a bit of wiring, added radiator protection, and new foot pegs to the DRZ...

struggled with the gas tank more than I should have...

We have a brand new only been to the MSF class rider going out with us tomorrow, so we are going to run up to the Parkway for a nice and relaxed ride, unlike today and yesterday's SPIRITED rides.

ehh it's more about the person holding the camera... I've seen some AMAZING shots taken by a very talented photographer with just a $150 point and shoot...

I on the other hand... suck 99% of the time but still experiment with my $1500 Nikon

a nicer camera does make certain things easier... for some things.

Pictures would be nice. All I hear about is how beautiful it is down there...though I will see some of it next week. :rockwoot:

I didn't get out today, maybe tomorrow. I was working on my landscaping/flower beds that I've been trying to do since August.

Found out my 3.5 gallon will take 3.7 gallons. :D

And I found out that my reserve will take me 8 miles, which was just far enough to get me to the gas station. :hangman:

well my reserve comes on at ush... 160ish... but I can go 200+... just the way the new tank is...

and because it's setup so that each side is separate... at 190ish... I gotta lean the bike on it's side to get the fuel to the petcock side... so it's kind of a secondary reserve...

then at 218 I gotta LAY the bike down... to let that last little bit flow over to the pet cock... so that's like tertiary reserve (dunno how much this last bit will get me... as I stopped 4 miles later)

still have about 20 miles worth of un useable fuel... but ehh... such is life.

I did about 10 miles.

The bike was caked in mud, so I rode to the car wash to spray it down.

The minute I was finished, it started to rain.

Yeah I love our trees BUT the leaves do love to collect in the yard.

I was going to put front brakes on the Jeep but my freakin' floor jack broke yesterday with the Jeep jacked up...luckily the jack stands caught it but then it was too low to put the tire back on or get the Jeep off the broken floor jack. :whatwhat:  Luckily I had an old floor jack and a 4"x4" and was able to get the Jeep high enough to remove the jack that was leaking fluid everywhere out and get my tire back on. After that I said screw it and the wife and I took off on the bikes. :lol I still had crap to do in the yard when I got back plus the Panthers were on TV starting at 4 pm and I wanted to catch some of the game.

I'm off Wednesday for Vereran's day so I'll get another jack and attempt to change the brakes again.

Felt pretty crappy this weekend, so I got almost nothing done despite absolutely perfect weather :( Rode my wife's VLX in to work today since I didn't have the energy to replace the flat tire on my SV.

Looks like it could be my last ride for the week, freaking freak storms...

I got a few miles in last night. Rode to band practice and back. Traffic sucked, but the HID is awesome at night. Saw a few deer making eyes at me. Then the bolt that holds my shifter on fell out going down the road. Awesome. Rode home without shifting gears.

true... just ask NE Rally peeps how well the front of my bike is to see anytime. Real easy during the day and lights up like the sun at night. Of coarse mine isn't due to hid just big set of lights... 3 to be exact

I have rode everyday since last week. If nothing else to work everyday. Hell even put some miles on the wife's nightster.

The HID made an enormous difference...but the Firebolt headlights are notoriously shitty from the factory. Honestly, I avoided going out at night before I put the HID in because I couldn't see shit.

And this sucker was mostly plug and play. But I wired a relay to the battery to take the load off the stock wireharness. There have been reports of the HID melting the stock connections. But, if you so desire it is completely plug and play.

I dont have any pics of the stock set up...but here's a couple of the HID. It's an 8000k bulb. Looks incredible at night.
