WTF is wrong with yahoo? Dont they understand that people hat spam? I logged into ymail for the first time since I created the account a year ago, and it has over 1000 messages in it. I never used it never gave it out or anything, I just needed a yahoo ID for a yahoo message board.

That is why yahoo is going to loose to google

Dont have a problem with my yahoo mail but my juno email is spam central. I"m sure they use a program to generate emails and just send until it says it went through.

Yahoo sucks my scrotum. They even charge for POP3 whereas Gmail is free. Unfortunately I've been using my Yahoo account forever and would lose a lot of stuff if I switched over.

Every so often I get inundated with spam from them but it goes into my Spam folder. I had the worst time with hotmail until I blocked everything coming in not from a contact in my folder.

I used Yahoo for so long, but I've been trying to migrate everything over to my GMail address. Still use both, but GMail is my primary. My Yahoo account probably get 1000+ SPAM messages a week, while GMail gets a small fraction of that.

Actually my Gmail is the one that gets all the spam; I rarely use it as a result.

Before my ISP started farming out their email servers to Yahoo, I would get about 10 spam emails a week. After that I started to get 10 a DAY. Occasionally things go a little nuts and I get 30+ in a day. It makes me think that somewhere along the way, someone decided to sell the email lists.

Uh I get a lot more junkmail in Hotmail than I ever do in Yahoo.

And screw Gmail, I'll never use that. They read your messages to find out what kind of products to advertise to you. Along with bowing down to the China on the whole censorship thing.

I've probably had my yahoo account for 15 years now, and get a shit ton of spam. But it is probably due in part to the fact that I use it as my "junk" email address when I'm worried about the address being sold. It pretty much all goes right to the spam folder though.

I will say, however, that i HATE the new yahoo home page. Too much bullshit and lots of errors when trying to preview my mail.

To me, that's the telling point. Until recently I had 2 addresses that I used strictly for administrative reports from websites I created. The addresses were never used for anything else, and yet I got a ton of spam on them.

I use my yahoo as my 'signup' account, and I still only get 15 SPAM mails a day. And I sign up for alot of porn.

Same here, got my Yahoo account when they bought out Geocities, and i opened the Geocities account in 1995. Get about 20 spams a day in the spam folder, maybe 1 or 2 a week get thru to my mailbox :idk:
