So, I met this girl about 3 weeks ago. We've been out twice, hung out three other times at either my place or hers. Immediately into things, I let her know that my daughter was going to be gone for 10 days and that I was going to bust ass on my kitchen, to try and get tile in and get a dishwasher in before my daughter got back. I let her know that I wouldn't be available much during those 10 days. So, for the past 4 days, this girl has been on my case about me spending so much time working on my kitchen. WTF, did you not listen? I let her know that I'm not normally like this, but I really wanted to get the kitchen done before Allie got back. I've told her that at least 3 times, but she keeps on about it.
Then tonight she bitches because I'm staying home to work on my kitchen and wouldn't go out with her. She knows that my daughter gets back tomorrow. The tile just got done yesterday and I'm trying to get all the wallpaper off and get the place painted, then get the countertop back on, get the wiring done for the dishwasher and have everything ready to go.
She said it's ridiculous that I set an arbitrary timeframe for myself and that I'm not taking time to smell the roses. I let her know that the time frame I set for myself was so that I COULD take time to smell the roses when my daughter got back from vacation. I wanted to get as much done as possible so I could spend time with Allie when she got back.
She continued to bitch. I told her this shit isn't going to work. Fucking psychos. I think the quote in my sig says it all... (sorry to the girls on here that I know and love, but damn...)

Wow...........
Someone you met only 3 weeks ago has no business telling you what to do. What, does she think she's your g/f already?
Kick that ho to the curb.

The fact she didn't offer to get dirty and help says a lot.
Add the fact that your daughter doesn't seem to register on her radar.
If she won't get dirty and ignores kids there is no long term hope for this wacko.
She's not interested in you and your life, only what you can do for her. Get rid of it.
Pics of the finished product? I like new kitchens. :)

Tell her that "the roses" smell like fish.
Then finish your kitchen.

BINGO
Kick her to the curb. As stated earlier, if she didn't offer to help you out to quicken the pace of the kitchen, it just proves she is self centered.
By the way, how old is she? ( I have a theory )

So, she didn't offer to come over and help you paint? Though, you might have to duct tape her mouth closed because she'd be too distracting to get stuff done on time.
Good move ditching her...

That is never an option with a woman like this. If you not there when she wants the booty call she will flip and try to ruin your life.

Too true. And they can never understand why you don't want to meet their parents or move in with them. Then comes the where is the relationship going speech where you pause and together listen to the insanely loud banging of her biological clock, even though she's not 25 yet. Get rid of her.

She is a great candidate for a ball gag!
My woman used to complain about all the time i spent maintaining my home. I married her and now all she wants me to do is work in the yard! I wouldnt even mention the possibility of her getting a new kitchen!
Yours is far worse tho, cant see the forest for the trees. Find an appreciative and helpful woman. BtW THEY ALL COME EQUIPPED WITH A VAGINA...

My first thought was also why didnt she offer to help. If she had helped you do it, you could have knocked it out in less than 10 days and then had a few to spare for her alone. Sheesh, what a dummy. Good move, tho Im sorry she didnt work out.

Wow, what right does she have to tell you what you should and shouldn't be doing after 3 weeks! If she really wanted to spend time with you and knew you were in a time crunch why didn't she offer to help you in your kitchen? Good for ditching her selfish butt!

Just make sure they've had all their shots and spayed/neutered.
Wow. Wouldnt that be cool if it was really simple to do that when your child was born and you wouldnt have to worry about becoming a grandparent too soon. Then when they want to have a child, its just a simple procedure to reverse it. Come on science!

What no kids. You didnt fallow the "right after highschool" rules.
Eight years huh. That aint bad in this time age. I've seen a lot shoot for just one year. Well that happens when you've only dated for less than a year. Or what about people that dated longer than their marriage lasted. I wonder what you'd call that?

 We dated for 2 weeks, he left for 6 months (military), came back, we got hitched and moved to Florida. All in all, not a bad span of time, no one thought we'd last 6 months. Not the brightest decision of my life...but seeing where I am now, well, I wouldnt change things.

She had come over one night and sat around talking for 4 hours while I was working on stuff. Only thing she did to help was go get a couple tools for me, which saved me maybe a total of 1 or 2 minutes. She then offered to help at the last minute on Friday, but I didn't see her message for a few hours cause I was busy. So when I told her she could come over, she said she was going out with her sister. Then she called me at midnight and was pissed that I was still working. That's when I told her this shit won't work, but I was starting to get that feeling earlier in the week, and she basically just confirmed it for me.
She's 33 and has 2 kids, so you'd think she'd understand. But whatever, 3 weeks (actually only 2 when the shit started) is WAY too soon to get shitty about something like this.
I'll post pics when I'm done with the kitchen.
Oh, and ranger, as far as people that dated longer than their marriage lasted, a buddy's mom dated a guy for close to 10 years. They lived together for probably 8 or 9 of those years. They finally decided to get married. He left her after maybe 6 months of marriage.

Snap crackle pop. Shit that sucks for your buddy's mom. Guess he was just using her for something.
Hey I thought it was good to get the shit started early? I'd pop out the ring on her in a heart beat. She's a keeper.
I have to correct your bottom quote. Goats have no function. They ARE the dumbest animals on this planet.

I agree 100%...dumb of her not to see an opportunity to help out and spend time with you.
But at the same time, glad you ended it now. If she's like this after 3 weeks, who knows what she would have been like after 3 months....or 3 years....:tremble:

If you had a kitchen to fix, why would you go and start seeing someone?
People create their own drama IMO.

Seriously? So, I'm not suppose to start dating someone until all my projects are completed? Should I have just asked for her number, but tell her I'd call in 3 weeks when my kitchen was done? I'm sure she would have waited around and been ready to date me when I was ready to date her. I guess I better wait about 2 years before I start dating anyone I meet since it will be at least that long before my house is the way I want it. Oh, but by then I'll have a bike and want to ride and work on that, so I shouldn't start dating anyone then, either. And my family will want work done on their houses over the years, so I probably should just never date at all. That would probably be best so I don't create my own drama.
She knew from day one that I'd be spending a lot of time on my kitchen when my daughter left for vacation. She thought it was cool I was able to do that sort of work. Then she flipped out cause I wasn't around. How is that my fault? I could understand if I hadn't told her about it and just stopped seeing her so I could work on the kitchen. And it's not like I didn't see her at all during that 10 days. I just couldn't see her every damn day like she wanted. Unless, of course, she'd come over and help. And by help, I don't mean standing around talking and getting frustrated that I won't stop working.
