Luck has been wished, but remember, you make your own luck. Since you can't sleep, spend some of that time prepping for the interview. Be ready to tell why you should be accepted. What do you bring to the table? How can your skills be applied? Things like that.

I agree with Captain. As goofy as it sounds you should always do a mock interview before the real deal. Research interview questions in the internet and practice some answers to questions that might be asked.
Oh and good luck.

just called to find out when they were making a decision. the lady who answered told me letters go out today or tommorrow but let it slip that she saw my name on the class roster! time to celebrate my last month of a social life for a year.

First off congrats paco
When you say rad tech, what exactly do you want to train to do? I know theres a lot of money ot be made in some radiology fields and I think it will be growing with the increased use of interventional studies.

With just an associates degree I will be trained in not much more than basic X-rays. I won't be qualified for MRI, CT, PET, FMRI, etc. But my school offers certification for that which is what I'd like to do. A lot of hospitals will also cross train you into those too. Plus there are some med schools that offer a BMS which will put your straight into the higher nuclear medicines. That shit is expensive and will also be determined wether my girlfriend wants to go on to graduate school.

top level would probably mean medical command that still rides, although that's rare as hell.

The nuclear stuff is where its at. I was babysitting apt who needed a stat v/q scan at 3am. Most techs woul dbe bitching about comming in, this guy was happy because of the OT he was getting to come in and do the scan.
The CT guys we have on the overnights are also crosstrained to do MRI's but that rarely happens on the overnights.

My buddy's wife is a Rad Tech (just Xrays now) and had some killer offers but for some of the really good offers she had to move far out, towards the country. She would have but her now husband was a lifeflight paramedic and was based out of Atlanta so she stayed.
I also don't mind OT. My current job I have to work OT outdoors in freezing rain, snow, thunderstorms, etc for crap pay with often very dangerous situations. I'm through with doing that shit.
