Underground Racing has shown off their twin-turbocharged Lamborghini Gallardo 'Race Version'.

Created for a client named Jonah, the twin-turbo Gallardo (dubbed the TTG) produces a stunning 1500 WHP (at 30 psi) on VP C16 racing fuel. If that isn't impressive enough, the TTG is probably producing 1875 HP at the crank - when you consider drivetrain loss of around 25 percent.

Backed up by a six-speed transmission, Jonah was able to post a sub-ten second time through the quarter mile at a speed exceeding 160 mph. As Underground Racing is quick to point out, it was the first time Jonah drove the car after the modifications and he hasn't been to a drag strip in over a decade.

on Pass Time they had a slew of U/G racing cars.....lotsa vipers and lambo's, and every one of them delivered.

Wow, wonder what kind of top speed it would have if geared properly?

Sick engineering but pointless. That same car with 800-1000 would be LOTS more useable and fun on the street

I love the "a bike is quicker" crowd. It would still be a cookie cutter Japanese motorcycle..

If you can afford a lambo, you can afford 20 kawi's...

Kerry and I got to drive one (well i was a passenger) It really is kind of a piece of shit. Even the italians that were there thought it was a crummy car that had all kinds of mechanical issues and parts took forever to arrive from Italy.

I will never forget the italian guys words..."The Farrari...she is a beautiful woman that you take home to meet your parents, The Lamborgini..she is the slut!!"

No surprise there.........Italian cars and bikes are works of art, but their quality control needs serious help. I would trust a Hyundai or GM over a Fiat anyday.

The point is a car with that much power still can barely use it. All that work and money and I doubt it would be much faster around a road course. 1200 extra hp and it only cuts 2.5 seconds off the quarter? It's not putting that power down very well.

And the car is doing 10mph faster than the bike at the end of the quarter.

I would rather have this car(even with less power) than the veyron.

The Diablo was better looking than the Gallardo IMO

I've driven a friend's Gallardo recently, both street and track. The ~500 hp stock was plenty exciting enough for me!

I imported Italian racing bikes and go-fast parts.

QC is utter shite.

I think we need Italians to design it, but Asians to make it.

That's the year I sold my 93 ZX11 and bought the 98 ZX9R...it lost close to 70 lbs. from the previous year.
