here's the one I always recommend - hardly anyone's seen it but it's AWESOME:
Pool Hall Junkies

don't let the fact that Ricky Schroeder's in it - we rented it by accident one time (don't ask) and it turned out to be awesome!!

Independence Day is actually a must see movie. If you are in to movies you know this may not be the most well written movie but still worth a watch for the talent in it, the CGI, which was cutting edge at the time, and the Director of Photography did a pretty good job.

Step Brothers. Seems like it is on about every 6 hours on Starz.

I have gone through and thrown them into categories, if you disagree with where I put something just say so and I will change it. Remember a lot of these movies fall into more than one so I put it in the 'dominant' one.

I forgot Out of Sight......excellent movie.

Behind Enemy Lines as well.

Both of those movies used a non-traditional style that really worked well.

We watched Star Trek in BluRay last night...it was decent...not great.

Paranormal Activity = weak sauce
Watched it last night and it was lame as shit. Not sure why it made over $100 million and everyone was comparing it to The Exorcist as the new standard of horror. This movie was made on like a 15k budget and it is obvious they got the actors off of craigslist. I had a hard time not laughing.

I'll give you that, but the cast killed it for me. 2-3 of them were so over-the-top and fake, especially the guy who played the old drunk pilot.

Fuck that, Randy Quaid was the best thing in that movie.
