Just a friendly reminder for all you folks that are leaving town or just not going to be home on the holiday to lock your bikes up. Even if they're in a garage. Thieves know people are gonna be out and about.

But it is insured.. If its stolen I get a new bike...

I'd love for it to happen. But, its not likely going to. I do take care of it, I just wouldn't care if it were stolen.

meh....

I dont want or ask for it to be stolen, but it wouldnt be earth shattering. I'd have a new bike long before riding season comes around again.

And for the love of God if you going out of town done tell/post it online. Kills me everytime I see someone on face book posting about being out of town. You would be surpized to find out that most of the time people are robed, they know or have met the person that does it.

It ends up being that one 16 year old down the road or that strange guy a block over.

I know he loves his bike, but I think he's sick of the actual room he's afforded while riding on it anyway

Plus one to this truth.

There's a busa in my future, as soon as I can afford it.

I went a whopping 1/2 mile around the corner to Mom's house. Not really "out of town" to worry too much. But yeah, pretty stupid of people to announce to the world that they are going out....oops, guess I did this when I said we were coming to NC. Oh well.

Yeah I only tell my close friends and neighbors when i'm going out of town.

I also lock my house up big time on a regular basis. I really am a security nazi at home.

Meh. My neighbors were all in town and kept an eye on our house for us and most of them own guns.

My neighbors and I have a nice agreement. We keep an eye on their place when their gone and they watch ours.

The one neighbor said if I happen to shoot anyone breaking in, he'll leave the bullets holes as a warning
