You'd be surprised - it is warmer than you'd think

Kinda the same idea as motorcycling, you need the right gear. I can go out in -40 and be perfectly warm...

That was a WEAK hill climb. But sledding is super fun. I've been on Mt St. Helens in Wash and watched guys take 250hp sleds up the backside of the crater. And man Im not sure what is more scary, going up or coming down. Also been up there when some of the Slednecks crews were shooting.

Nooooooooooooo! FXR. And a Bombardier Modular. Best modular on the market, by the way. Comfy, warm, and never fogs because of the respirator mouth piece. Saves you the trouble of getting your shield cord caught in your arms while your posting and switching from side to side in deep powder.

that's the biggest drawback to sledding is the waiting. Well that and yourfriends and family who don't ride thinking you're nuts for wanting snow so bad. LOL

I'm going on a snowmobiling weekend this January.

Not a huge fan of snow but totally looking forward to it!

I just picked up a generic black AC helmet with a heated shield for bumming around - figured I didn't need anything special since I don't do anything insane around the fields

I also have my HJC CL-MAXX with a winter shield that I use for longer rides.

I have a really nice AC coat that I got off ebay over the summer as a holdover (I'll try to get a pic at some point)

Yeah - till you sink

if you keep it pinned, you shouldn't sink. Paddle Lags help though.

unless you're using an old beater sled and it dies

then no amount of throttle pinning will help

Brand new leftover that I got off e-bay for about a quarter of the price it was:

It all freakin' blew away with this 60 mph wind.

There snow I had to ride on is now ice.

My mother lives 45 minutes away and she has about 3 feet already. WTF.
