I have something that you might want and will not be of use to me.
Thought I'd put a feeler out there.

I may be flying them for business in the near future (if United hasn't reinstated the 777's for Tokyo flights). But it sounds like whatever you have doesn't apply for business related flights?

I have but don't fly that often. Though I think a trip should be in my near future. I am in need of a much needed vacation.
i fly them when i go to New Jersey to see my family...i haven't seen them in about 2 years, so i guess i'm due
Continental sucks. Try Airtran, Southwest, Northwest (before the delta takeover), there are a few othere but for the most part I leave the plane with the feeling that I was just screwed

So what's everyones problem with Delta. I've flown with them a few times and I've never had a problem with them. And now I am flying with them when I go to South Africa in June and everyone has me all worried.
I've flown with the maybe 15 times this year (round trip not one way) and they have not got me to my destination on time yet, once stranding me over night, and once brining me to baltimore instead of philly and handing me a bus ticket to philly, not the airport, just the city.
Granted, in their defense when I fly my flights are usually during the high demand times, sunday night, monday morning, friday afternoon, so delays and stuff is almost to be expected. But Airtran who's record is 10x better than delta (with me) has given vouchers for free meals, 1st class upgrades and that sort of stuff for delays and other problems.
The only time I will ever fly delta is if I have to.
And to leave you with this thought. I equate flying on delta to having sex with a hot chick that turns out to be a dude.
I will admit that Airtran is a really good airline. I flew them in a pinch this year when i was in NY and needed a flight out of there the same day. their customer service was really amazing...on the phone and in person.
You have me really worried about getting there now. I hope that there aren't any hiccups like what you had.

The last time i flew delta i was stuck on the tarmac for over an hour with no communication. Especially not fun when I was flying with the pug.
I prefer Jetblue when flying over a couple of hours, but their fares aren't that cheap anymore.

Delta, Northwest, and US Airways are bottom of the barrell.....
Southwest is only OK if you're lucky enough to get an exit row or bulkhead seat, otherwise the rest of their seats are crap.
The best are Frontier and Virgin America, followed by United and Jetblue.

Does Virgin America fly domestic?
Only about 10-12 cities, but they go to Vegas.
Here's a cellphone shot I took........Badass "mood lighting", and the seats are way better than Southwest's crap. Also, they have more onboard entertainment.

do the stripper poles come up through the floor?
BTW, Kell, what was the thing that you had if anyone flew with continental?

do the stripper poles come up through the floor?
no strippers, no singing either (thank god).....just comfortable seats (unlike Southwest), and low prices
do the stripper poles come up through the floor?
Depends on the flight, I was on a flight to vegas a while back during the spring break time frame, and if there was a pole on board it could have been used, and the crew did nothing except to encourage the actions taking place before my eyes.
