About a month ago, I started taking brazillian jiu jitsu classes for exercise, to get in shape.

Anyway, I ordered a Gi from a place called fightersmarket.ca, and when it came in, I noticed they sent me the wrong size. That was friday afternoon. So I called them, and they told me to send it back, and they would send me the correct product, telling me it was there mistake.

Monday I sent the package back. It takes more than 2 days through Canada Post to ship across the country and then back, but lo and behold, there was a parcel in the parcel box at the mail box (basicly a big box, they put the key in your mailbox so you can open it).

So, not only did they send me the correct size gi before they even recieved the original they sent out, they threw in 2 t-shirts, 4oz fight gloves, and a mouthguard with the order, and a letter apologizing for the mistake.

Good business makes me very, very happy!

Wow. That's a rarity indeed. Pretty Awesome. :dthumb:

I wish more companies thought about how to keep a customer coming back.

BTW, WTF is brazillian jiu jitsu?

Do you have to get waxed before you flip somebody?

WTF is this "get in shape" nonsense?

Are we not shooting for the Canadian Nationals anymore pre-Olympia?!

Nawww..... Bodybuilding gave way to a horrible addiction to painkillers man. I had to clean up, and staying clean meant staying away from gear for a while too... Then as I was getting back into the swing of things, I burned my leg from the knee down, and that fucked me good. No fucking way I can train the way I used to with my leg like this. Surgeries, skin graphs, the skin still breaks and tears and wears away. I still cant excercise in sneakers or wear boots. Hell, im on workers comp still, 6 months later.

I miss it, but sometimes your health is first.

Well you gotta do what you gotta do. Shit.

So is martial arts any fun? I really want to take something like that, but don't think I have the time or dedication for another hobby.

That is great. I just had almost the same thing. but with a holster, and I wasn't sure which size I would want for my pocket. I ordered the larger one so I could also carry a spare mag. But it was just too big. Emailed the guy and he said send it back. So I sent him a tracking number and he sent me one in reply.

this was for midwest tactical supply. Jim is beyond great to deal with.

Glad to hear they treated you fairly...even more than fair.

Gracie has a school not too far from the house and I had thought about looking into it. I've trained in other styles of martial arts and Kempo incorporated some jiu jitsu but not as much as I would like. I also trained in Tae Kwondo but obviously that is totally different.

I've also considered Krav Maga.

yup...

Quadruple stitched, double layered, tough as fuck.

But he's into karate I believe. Gi strength isnt quite as important, and some forms (shotokan for one), require Karate Gi's, and dont allow Judo gi's.
