Its probably not the stand I would buy, because I could farbricate a much better one for that price, but at the same time, theres no reason it shouldn't be safe. The main forces (the legs running across the floor, and the weight of the bike) are opposing each other, and its made of steel, so its plenty strong to hold 600lbs.

If the Nazi's build it, Americans will buy it. LOL

I'll build one myself or just wait till china comes out with their version.

freind of mine is organizing a gb for them. Will be 480 for the stand and free shippin got his place in jersey. Only problem is you have to get it from his place.

I will prolly pass on one of these as I would rather get a stand/lift similar to what gasman has (just not as big or elaborate) but thats prety far down on my lis tof wants/needs right now.

Doesn't lift the front up.

I would still not spend $600 on a stand.

The Bursig would be very nice in cramped garages. That way you don't have a handle out both ends and still don't get flat spots. Unfortunately, it won't work with a lot of bikes. You have to have a hollow swingarm pivot and somewhere for the second pin to stop rotation.

What are you some kind of douche? You can get Handy Co bike stands for less than $100 front and rear. Anything more than that is inappropriate and excessive.

Cause there is a big difference between just hanging the wheels 3" off the ground and lifting the whole bike 36" up.

My neighbor has a HF and its garbage. Even look like garbage.

Could also consider a J&S Jack, other neighbor has one of these cause I helped his wife buy it for him. Realy nice. Very very stable.

Or a pitbull. Even BDM Corperate uses these on their corp show trucks

I guess you need to get the one with the best service plan

My take is if my bikes will be lifted a few feet off the ground I am making damn welll sure they dont come tumbling down because of inferior products.

I have given up on the handy stands for that reason. seen first hand them failing a few times including with my track bike.

F the service plan. You know I got the lift shit taken care of. I still have the sears jacks. Use it sometimes. But not much ever beats my actual lift.

hmm, alot of you guys are posting up lifts..........2 entirely diff things then a stand. and the lifts won't work w/ sportbike fairings in place and prolly not even if you took the fairings off.

the abba stand doesn't lift both ends of the bike up. nor is it movable.

and none are movable like this bursig stand.

It's par for the course.

Tigger tells us how little to spend and Gas Man tells us how much to spend, with pics. Neither has anything to do with the topic at hand.

The bursig stand looks great. A little pricey but more convenient and compact than front and rear stands.

Plus, like you said, you can still move the bike while on it.

Nice elegant device.

It *might* work on one out of the four bikes I'm working on, but if the bike fits it certainly looks easier to use.

Only thing that would concern me is that it seems to have a fairly small footprint, and a top-heavy bike might be pretty easy to knock over onto the left side.

I'm still sticking with my engine hoist for flexibility.
