I get a call from this number on my cell every few days.

HEAVY accent, and LOTS of background noise. Had no idea what was going on, but sounded like she was in a chinese market with a cock fight going on behind her.

Anyone else getting calls from this number?

Reverse lookup isn't bringing anything up :idk:

Don't share your number with douchebags... meaning, give your number to no one!

Who was wining the cock fight?

I looked it up on google. Seems tons of people are reporting the same thing but no one had figured out what/who it is.

Do you have Voice over IP?

Redirect 'em back to themselves. :D

That guarantees nothing. Number could have been reused, someone else could give your number as a fake number, etc.

I read something recently where it said, avoid answering a specific number because it would be billed to you as a long distance call but I forget the details and I know it's not the number you listed above at least

Yeah I think that was linked to an area code in Puerto Rico or something

This was an 888 number so I knew that wasn't the deal

Wow... I just love random phone calls.

My current favorite is my daughter getting calls from the TX Welfare Office - they are redirecting calls from someone's voicemail. The missed number is the main number, and all the voicemails left are people that are having issues with some insurance co-provider through their office. It would seem someone went on vacation and forwarded their phone to the wrong number.

THEY have no answer - so we have updated her voicemail to sound more like a teenager/customer service black hole. Calls still come in, but it's while she's in school so they go to voicemail. The voicemail is now quite funny, actually...

We'll see how long this continues...

I rarely EVER get a call from anyone other than friend or family...thats why this is so weird to me I guess :idk:

I guess because I put my number on the do not call list years ago...and always gave Karl's mom's number to people I didn't like

and she thanks you.

I never answer the phone if it is a number I do not know, and will just delete the voicemail without listening to it.

Welcome to cellphone marketing calls. Cellphones aren't private any more. I get a few that are linked to Florida and somewhere else.

I read that the "no answer back" calls are computers that are just dailing numbers to see if they are active. If you answer then it knows some one has that number and the non stop calling begins.

I don't know about other carriers, but on verizon you can log in online and add ph # to block.

FYI, Out bound CID numbers can be programmed into the switch so that the number displayed on your Caller ID is not necessarily the number that is calling you. In this case I know it is not because Toll Free numbers only work for inbound calling. If you get a call from 800,866, 888 etc, it for sure is not coming from that number.

I was getting bugged by the US Fidelis auto-dialer for a while last year and lately it's been the 'constituent survey' auto-dialer.
I just ignore it if it's not someone I know.
(or, more often, I just sleep through it since they call in the late morning to early afternoon)

I rarely answer if I dont know the number...so I have no idea who's on the other end of the number bugging me.

you're welcome! I thought if I had figured it out, everyone would've by now!

Usually for call centers when they can't get through, they will mark your as a "wrong number" and then take you off their dialer.
