the usual names are popping up as a replacement. Charlie Strong (our ex DC), Dan Mullen (our ex OC), Bob Stoops and Mike Shannahan...I am hoping for Chris Petersen from Boise. But we will see

Shanahan going to college that would be interesting. latest rumors had him going to the redskins, guess we will see how this all shakes out becasue it will have a huge impact on recruiting for the program.

His chances of success would be far great at FL than Washington. Much like the Raiders, Washington won't be competative again till Dan Snyder is out of town.

Good point, although they did get a GM so that may keep snyder out of it a little although shanahan prolly wants complete control of wherever he goes.

Well I like the guy and obviously he's a coaching genious BUT being a Tennessee fan I would imagine it would help with recruiting as far as the guys that are being sought by both schools. I'm sure the other SEC schools are licking their chops as well at the thought.

Good news for FSU coaches. They might get a few more blue chip recruits with Meyer gone.

7-6 record is hardly a suck season and that is their worst season in 34 years. no other school can claim that stat.

In college football, at 7-6, you might as well have not won a game. Thats a terrible season.

Marko, don't try and reason with an FSU fan, it will just make you crazy. Let them spew what they want and just quietly sit in the corner and point and poke fun at them...it will help keep your sanity.

Ok fine, define how you want but by your definition Penn St or every other school for that matter has had more terrible seasons in the last 34 years than FSU has.

Florida State, it's the Alabama of the ACC without all the championships. At least the Bammers have the ships to back up their delusion.

Two programs that were able to easily entice coaches away from LSU. Must not be much of a program there.

Saban was enticed by Miami and the NFL. Jimbo wanted to be a Head Coach and was told he would get it when Bobby retired. Considering the position Les was in when Jimbo left, he knew he wouldn't get Head at LSU for a long time.

Yeah, I'm just giving you shit. The bottom line is, it's all about the mighty dollar. Coaches are money whores and will go to the highest bidder regardless of the program.

Or if you are Spurrier, you are lured by golf. The reason he is at South Carolina is that the head coach is given a lifetime membership to play at Augusta.

Interesting. He had a good gig at UF.

Interesting. He had a good gig at UF.yeah, but remember, he too left for the NFL for he semi full of money that Daniel Snyder gave him. He tanked there took his millions and came back to the college ranks, and he has never been the same since he left UF. just goes to show you that no matter how good the offer is you shouldn't leave a good thing
