View Full Version : Sigh, I guess the Colts don't care about winning

Wow, this is ridiculous. I guess they've just given up. I know they already got the bye, but can't they go for the perfect season just once? Too close to just give up like this.

I really didn't expect them to have the season they have. I'd be happy if my team were playing like that.

Well, the thing that pisses me off is they could have won that game, but simply gave up.

And comments in this article are just stupid. Shula saying "just shows how difficult it is...yada, yada, yada" Of course it's difficult to have a perfect season if you don't even fucking try. We had plenty of time to put our stars back in the game (or simply not even pull them to begin with) and could have won. People in the article are talking like the Colts had no chance of winning. Sure, the Jets returned a kick for a touchdown, but the Colts came right back. And the fumble back at the endzone wouldn't have happened had Manning been in there. Even so, if they'd have pulled Painter and put Manning and crew back in after that, we still could have made a comeback. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/recap?gid=20091227011

I bet they care more about winning the superbowl than having an unbeaten record.

Bullshit. Fuck the Colts. I hope they get bounced outta the playoffs in round 1 after a stupid move like pulling your starters. Go for the fucking unbeaten season, you pussies!

I'm so damn sick of the Dolphins. Someone needs to shut them up...just not the Pats, like they almost did a few years ago.

I don't know man...why risk your key players getting injuries when you don't need to?...

Of course. I understand why they do it....but think about history. I know the players wanna go for it. It's the pussy coaches. Let em play. Dudes are gonna get hurt, it's the nature of the game. I get sick of seeing these asshol 72 Dolphins cracking Champagne every year when the Colts lose...it's always the goddamn Colts.

I know how you feel but what if Manning broke his arm trying to recover the perfect season? I'm sure the fans would have the coach's head on a platter!

No doubt they would. It's a no win situation, really.

I like the Colts and am a Manning fan but yes I hated to see this. I'm pretty sure the players wanted to go for the victory. I understand why the coaches did what they did...makes perfect sense but as a fan...just hate to see teams lay down.

Pisses me off they "gave" the Jets a win and a chance at the play-offs. :td: Not to mention Manning is my fantasy QB.

Yeah, no kidding. I'da kept the starters in just to keep the Jets out of the playoffs...though with the Jets out the Steelers have a better chance at getting in. Maybe they didn't wanna play the Steelers. They are sloppy and playing shitty football right now, but they can be dangerous.

You could tell by mannings mannerisms on th esidelines that he wanted to play esp now that they know his backup is terrible.

The guy is the consumate professional. He said in the press a couple weeks ago that whatever coach decided about this going forward would 'be the right decision'. But of course you know he wants to play for history. If he said "no, we wanna go for it" then coach pulls him all the sudden the team has a shit storm on their hands.

Smart move.

Don't want to have football players risking injury by playing football.
