Just wondering what type of products you guys use to clean and treat your leather gear...

looking at my jacket it needs a good cleaning... and I don't have any stuff with me. I've heard of Lexol but never used it.

any others people use?

one word: febreze

Febreze is great for the inside but as a leather cleaner? :?:

I need a good cleaner too. I bought the jacket used and it has a small pen make on it that I want to try and get out. :beers:

yeah I meant to clean the leather as in the outside... not to make it smell nice...

I use armorall leather cleaner to clean the outside. Febreeze/lysol to kill the smell. And then when I am really wanting it clean, I pull the liner and wash it in the washing machine and take the leathers to a dry cleaner that is capable of cleaning leathers. This you should do about once a year, sweat degrades the leather.

My Dainese 1-piece and jacket came with a cleaner and a lotion to go on after you clean it.

I don't have leather gear yet, but I absolutely love this stuff for my car interior and will use it on whatever gear I get.

Lexol leather cleaner and then follow up with Lexol leather conditioner. You can find these at most automotive stores and they work quite well. The conditioner really restores the shine to the leathers and keep the leathers supple so that they won't crack and split. I try to do mine on a quarterly basis.

I plan on just pissing and shitting in my leathers... That should keep them minty fresh and supple...
