Game is decent, it's the same shit in a new wrapper. The dating and going out with your buddy stuff to play different games, get drunk, and have sex with your dates is ok. I think it is overrated though. It's the same fucking game, multiplayer stuff is neat. Driving physics absolutely suck.

Yeah I think its fun but really what could they have done and not taken away from the original gameplay. I think thats the only reason anyone has bought it. I think the designers were looking to make almost the same game because if they didnt, people would lose interest in the GTA series. Potentially spelling disaster for any future releases.

I'm only a couple hours into single player. I haven't played GTA since Vice City on XBox and Liberty City Stories on PSP. So far, there are a lot of subtle differences that make this one fun. I'm happy with it. I found myself wasting a good 15-20 minutes just channel surfing in my apartment.

Oh I don't disagree the game is good and keeping it unchanged besides updating graphics is the way to go, but it's not game of the year or deserving all the praise it has been getting. It's just a carbon copy thats been made prettier. I think game of the year should be saved for something new that is also awesome, not carbon copy sequels.

They've touched up some things, yes, but it is just a like updating a Madden game. They change some things, but it's still pretty much the same game. That's not really a bad thing when the original game to begin with is good.

I guess it just depends on what you rank GOTY by, if it is for customer appeal and sales, this one doesn't have a challenger.

Driving physics... it has more REALISTIC driving physics, which means you cant take a turn at 90mph and expect to not plow into a tree anymore. I hated it at first but really once you get the hang of it it makes weaving in and out of traffic more fun i think. also all the cars do handle differently... get a blista compact and you wont be complaining anymore :lol:

I agree tho, its a nice game and easily worth my $60 but def not GOTY. I havent seen the whole game but its not seeming as innovative as it was made out to be.

I think they took the "realistic" physics too far. To the point where it's like driving a boat or on ice. I am sorry, but my honda civic can make a 90 degree turn without sliding across the street at 15mph and it doesn't do a 500 foot burnout when you give it gas like the old PoS beaters in this game. They went from one extreme to the other. Basically it was just a difficulty increase.

also i really like the city... it doesnt feel like you are the center of the world and the only ppl that exist are the ones close enough to be rendered.

i actually havent had the chance to ride a bike yet. I jacked a scooter and then attempted to evade cops with a 6 star level, that was fun.

Oh yeah and BTW all cheats are the same for both systems. You just type them into Niko's cell. TYheo nly ones I can find are just to spawn guns, cars, bikes and to get armor and health.

I have killed everyone it gave me a choice, exceot one. Because the storyline involved making a choice between killing two different people and it wouldn't let me kill both. I tried to use the rocket launcher instead of the sniper rifle to do them both in and it made me fail the mission.

it's the unrealistic realistic driving system they came up with. Everything handles like you are riding/driving on ice to make the game harder.

4-6 tankfuls of gas....and hundreds if not a thousand miles of seat time on a bike....that's about what 60 bucks will get you for your bike....

as far as gaming goes, hell knows i play a shitload of games, but i've never really been all caught up in the GTA series....

yeah you can't take a corner worth SHIT on anything... everything under steers... and the only way I've found to drift through corners is hit the e-brake then hold it and hit the regular brakes... the camera shifts to see through the corner too...

I do that shit all the time and no he doesn't die if you hit deep water. I have managed to land in the clone central park lake from the highest point and survived. He will die in shallow water though.
