Do you do New Year's resolutions? If so, what are they?

No, not anymore. Every year I resolved to be a better, more cheerful person and it never happened, so I quit.

I resolved a few years back to not make resolutions. I've stuck to it since.

I think I may break it this year and fix some things about myself that have been bugging me.

I won't make any, but being fed up with almost every aspect of my life, 2010 will be the year to reinvent myself.

I do it each and serious work on whatever my list is, I usually will establish mine during the 1st week of the new year, so as of today I can't tell you specifically what they will be for 2010. A generic one is to better myself financially or pay a particular thing off usually and to avoid any new debt

guess my 2 goals/resolutions are to get more consistent with the gym and to be a bit more organized/fiscaly responsible (typing this after I dropped 2100 on ohlins suspension for my track bike  )

I want to get down to about 230 and greatly increase my endurance for the track season, weighed in at 256 the other day so I got some work to do by spring ;)

Graduate with honors from this tech college, and hopefully be considered Junior status in the state college (I really don't know what will carry over in a couple areas). A job would be great. That's what I'm most concerned about, anyways.

Good idea! I was going to get my certification since the Gov't offered to pay for it but I got this job instead. Good luck! Being a certified welder is like having a "have a job regardless of the economy" type job with really good pay.

Interesting!

Mine are to watch all the movies on my list (I'm capping it at 150).
Re-do my bedroom.
Compete in my first race (MC endurance race)
Run more.
Eat less.

I resolved not to make any resolutions until June or July, that way I won't be like all the other tools who do it in Jan.

Seriously, nothing is more hilarious than going to the gym and seeing all these new faces after New Years.........and then noticing in Feb that the crowd has dropped back to normal

I don't normally make resolutions because I don't stick to them. Maybe I should make a resolution to stick to resolutions.

Get to church more often. Drink more water. Get more organized. Be less of a recluse.

Ooh that's a good one. 2010 will be drama free for me. I will walk away from those that weigh me down. Friendectomy's WILL be performed if necessary.

Work to better focus on the great things I have in life.
Make my house a home by actually decorating and keeping it clean.
Not let the little things get me so worked up. Less stress.
Go and use my gym membership/workout vids/parks instead of just paying for/stairing at them.

Def not off to a good start here. Gym closed early on me today so I will go after work in the morning. I realy slobbed out the last few days so I wanted to realy get back into the swing of things.

Then on th ebeing organized front I just got blasted by the chief PA at my side job for a few charting things, couple are my fault but some of it was stuff we were originally told to do then he changed his mind. better off just keeping quiet taking our lumps and moving on. It wa ssent out to a couple of us but I am taking the brunt of it.

I also need to get my car inspected. I had to fix/jerry rig a few things for now to get it to pass (pesky check engine light ;) ) sent the mrs with it today and the machine at the place we go to wasnt doing them today because the machine broke. So that will have ot wait till monday so I gotta roll the dice with getting to and from work. Shouldnt be too bad if I flash my work id I should be ok. Part of my resolution is to not half ass or jerry righ stuff as much but need to for now and will re do what I have to withthe car come spring so I can use the bike if its laid up for a few days. Too cold, icy and nasty out to even think about riding now.

So were not off to a great start so heres to a better week a head.

I'm not a huge "resolution" person.... I'm more of a "make a decision and stick to it" person. Last year, I gave up soda for a few months, and now don't drink much of it at all (choosing water instead).

This year, I will pay off my CC debt and my truck note - those are a given. I've got lots of "new" in my life right now that I'm doing my best to enjoy :) THAT is my resolution, I suppose. Enjoy, be happy.

I don't make resolutions either. If I want to do something I do it regardless of the time of year. Every day is a new day to start over on whatever I might be trying. I don't need a new year for that. I'd never accomplish anything!

Yep, I get that one! I have a really hard time getting close to people because of all of the back stabbings I've had to endure in the past. Believe it or not, when I do make friends with someone I am fiercely loyal! Unfortunately, finding another person like that in today's world is becoming increasingly difficult.

I'm much the same way, and it is difficult finding people that are like-minded in that respect. That's why I don't look for friends anymore. I just let things happen.

I follow that idea too, but its just easier to sort out the long term and short term goals by making new years resolutions for me. I also make sure it's something that I can actually do now. Years past I made goals that I never really cared for putting much effort into and got nothing accomplished.

2010 will be a better year than 2009 though, no doubt about it. :)

Maybe I should make a resolution to look at porn less. I typically will pull some porn up on the net if I'm bored, which probably isn't a good thing.

Today is my resolution day! I'm cutting out/down some nasty habits in order to save money. I want to have a dirtbike by the end of next season or the start of 2011.

I plan on getting into MMA this year as well. But, like others I am going to wait until the crowds die down.

Well, if you decide that you actually want a GF I would recommend that you look at porn more! It'll keep you sharp and um, unloaded... The down side is that it can make any girl you are with seem kinda, well boring. I personally, have cut down because it is affecting how often I actually bang my GF and complaints have been lodged...Hahahahahaha!
