Awesome vids. Too bad I hate Harley AND Buell today.

Fucking Squids!!!! Hahahaha! I'm sorry but I am compelled to say that the first Vrod required a supercharger (and a 20 mph start)to do what any Japanese 600 can do out of the box at 70-80 mph. Now on the other side of that, if I were in the market for a Harley, the V-Rod would probably be it. No matter how you slice it, cool videos!!!!

I've liked the V-rod since it came out. If I don't buy a Victory, then I'll most likely get a V-rod.

Bad ass vids. Just hope HD brass doesn't kill those before they turn the finances around.

The vrod is the harley I would have if I were to get one.

It also weights twice as much plus a great deal longer wheelbase.

True...of course, I could point out that I could wheelie my '88 V-Max at least that well... In fact, I believe that they did a comparo when the V-Rod first came out and the V-Max kicked it's ass!! Again, that being said, if I were to buy a Harley, this would be the one for sure!!!

i gotta disagree with you guys, i like the vrod's power but it fails when the road aint straight. if i had to pick a harley it'd be an XR with termi highmounts. def looking forward to that xr onemake series in bsb next year

I found out my guaranteed for life belt, isn't..

It just has no service interval, ie replace when it breaks, at about 200 bucks.

That is why I'm upset with buell..

Yeah I know what you mean but mine would be in addition to my R1 so I'd still get the VRod and probably a fat rear tire kit as well. The wife...in addition to her R6 wants the Victory Kingpin 8-Ball.

I haven't seen the XR with the Termi's so I'll have to check that out.

Same here, if I were to ever own a harley or any cruiser, it would be in addition the the sportbikes already in the garage.

I've been unable to get a straight answer from my mechanic. He says he asks at every meeting they have. And nobody ever gives him a straight answer.

I asked around on Badweb, and apparently one of the guys who owns or works at a dealership told me, "lifetime" just means there is no maintenance replacement interval..

Shaft drive on a cruiser, sure.

As for the flat-black HD, that's way too much flat black IMO. It needs some gloss black pieces added to it. Right now it looks like all the 20-something stuntaz who wreck their bike and spray it flat black.

They certainly aren't made for cornering. I dragged peg in every single turn...slow, fast, whatever.

Shit! They don't make the one I'd want anyway! The Street Rod! It had better ground clearance and was lighter/ "sportier" .

Oh well, is what I say! Honestly, how badly are we gonna miss one model or another? I can just buy a muscle cruiser from someone else. Hell, there's one for sale in PA with under 5,000 miles and some upgrades for $9,000...

More adjustable suspension and uprated front brake calipers. Which makes it perform just about as well as my 6-years old POS BMW Rockster.
