I will wait til it becomes available in other ways. It may already be, I havent checked. I hate movie theaters, I like being alone when I watch a movie.

Movie theaters are so overrated now-a-days w/ ticket prices. the SO went last weekend and paid $7 for a god damned mat. price.... that's insane.

I hate the movie theater also. I hate the sound of those fuckers eating their candy or popcorn. Candy wrappers make the loudest fucking noise in the theater. Oh yeah and why cant people have some self control and shut the fuck up? :idk: Movies in the privacy of my own home FTMFW

Plus, when I go, either the loudest fucking dipshit in the world, people who like to talk during the movie (sometimes foreign fuck jobs), or a large party that has to hand shit between themselves and I am stuck in the middle sits right next to me. Only way I can go to a movie is if it is at this one theater that has a railing and aisle in a weird location where there is two seats by themselves and a guardrail right in front of them so no one can sit in front of me. They are about halfway up so viewing is not a problem. If that theater ever closes, I won't see movies at a theater anymore.

I use to watch movies on thursday nights at the theater I worked at during school after we closed. This was back before digital projectors and we had to run the new movies once through to make sure they were spliced together right, so it would just be coworkers in there with me. That spoiled me.

that's why I've got 55 inches of goodness in my living room and 37 inches of goodness in the bedroom (I know ladies, that does sound impressive, doesn't it?). ;)

Thank god for the invention of HDTV, now we just need to get rid of movie theaters altogether and have true HD on demand for new movies.

Agreed once more, Tri... i mean, Ducati!

Yeah I worked at the theater while I was in HS as well.... Spoiled me too.

Now I just need to get a decent sound system for the livingroom and I'll be good to go.

You get stuck w/ a "HD Upgrade" charge on your cable bill? I do. :(

I just have a upcharge on my dual tuner/dvr. My apt complex pays for digital cable so it comes off my rent.

I worked in a movie theater in high school as well. I ran the projectors. Talk about a great gig. I loved that fucking job.

Only bad thing about the job was hating popcorn so much.

I always had the nudie scenes timed so I knew when to go "check" that movie.

I started out as a ticket taker/usher/theater sweeper, then worked my way up to chief of staff, then eventually assistant manager, but in the mean time I went to projectionist school since they decided to get rid of the union guys.

Yeah they paid for me to go to school at night for a month. We had to learn how to spice the films, load the projectors on the 3 platter system and maintain the projector.

odd, they did that to us too. wanted us to become managers instead of projections. It was gay.

I worked for Mann theaters and back in the late 80's they decided the union projectionists were making too much money so they thought it would be better if they sent a bunch of high school stoners to school...

I worked for Regal in the late 90's. The projectionists tried to unionize and they told the ones that wanted to do it to go find a new job and let the ones that wanted to stay become assistant managers. Managers werent too pleased about having to run the projectors. That pissed both sides off.
