I say yes and no. My best friend is female and attractive. When we first met we hung out a lot and I will admit my intentions were to sleep with her. Finally one night it happened and a few weeks later she started dating a guy (who she is now engaged to). We have been close friends for so long now that I never think of her this way and it seems strange to.

On the flip side back in college I was really good friends with 4 girls who roomed together in the dorm next to me. I never set out to sleep with any of them but they were all SMOKING hot and extremely intelligent which is a huge turn on for me. Everything was fine until they got to the comfort level where they would walk around naked (i.e. after getting out of the shower or changing etc). One day I was sitting on the couch and the hottest of the bunch was sitting across from me in a thong putting on lotion while we were watching TV. Knowing that she didn't think of me in a sexual way I had to ask her to put some clothes on because it was driving me crazy. It was really awkward for me after that because all I could think about when I was with them was sex so we started hanging out less and less. I agree with the first statement. Normally attractive people surround themselves with other attractive people more than the other way around. However, most groups of hot girls will have and ugly friend or two that they keep around for self esteem, and guys don't really think about it.
