Pet hair. If it wasn't for pet hair, I could probably vacuum my house 4 times a year.
I don't care how often you fucking vacuum, or dust, rolling your own smokes and owning pets is just a shitty combo.
By the time I die, I will have smoked an entire dog.

You ain't kidding.
Between the cats and the dogs, I've got dust bunnies the size of Pomeranians, and that's with sweeping the hardwoods every other day.

Are you sure those AREN'T Pomeranians? Sometimes it has to be tough, with that menagerie. Cats in pots, and all that.

What does pet hair have to do with rolling ur joints? Do you dump the mj into the carpet then scoop it up by hand and smoke it?

I own 4 different vacuums for one large black lab. And 3 swiffers... I'd have hours of free time if not for the constant cleaning. I love my dog, but I wish he were hairless at times.
I have very little free time with an infant in the house, and instead of doing something for me when I have a few minutes, I am cleaning.
I've also come to accept that everything tastes better with dog hair.

Everything I own is covered in hair from my constantly shedding yellow lab.

I have hardwoods. Dander wafts everywhere. I could hire a full time swifferrer, and there would still be fucking dog dander tumbleweeds.

I love hard floors. You sweep everything in a pile and get the shop vac. Carpet is nasty stuff.

A herd of free-range Roombas might help. They'd also drive the pets nuts.

She was radioactive, you sort of expect that from nuclear animals. They be crazy.

Fuck man, my Lab blasts some serious ass smell. It's awful...and constant.

No doubt. But there are some insane deer in these parts too. Question, did this nuclear deer have 3 eyes?

Between the border collie, golden retriever, GSD/Dobie mix, and the BF's little beagle, there is an abundance of dog hair. His beagle sheds worse than all of the other three combined. Bought him a Roomba for Christmas (hey, it's what he wanted!). The thing rocks! At my house, the animals aren't allowed on the furniture. At his house, it's a different story. :-(

Just got done vacuuming the house, and read this thread.... damn dog. I'm somewhere between wanting and needing a new vacuum - thinking dyson should do it this time. And, after vacuuming the rug so much - there's no way in hell I'd let my pets on the furniture. FWIW, we have one rug and the rest is tile/pergo/cement... it STILL makes me crazy.

One of my cats likes it when you rub him with that  fiancee always yells at me not to. I tell her its preemptive. i am taking the hair off the cat before he puts it on the clothes or furniture.

Roomba 3x / week on the main floor FTW. And then 10 minutes / week with the stand-up vacuum. The only dog hair that doesn't pick up is on their beds and their blankets.

Works great on our wood floors and the throw rugs. Maybe once a month I might pull some hair wound around the brushes and that's all the maintenance it needs.

Pet hair FTL. We have 3 cats and they shed like mad. We got a $1600 Rainbow though and it gets used twice a week.. sometimes 3 if we are having guests and it does a fantastic job. I can't wait until those little fuckers die. They are 14, 15 and 16. My Boxer sheds very little. We also have a few Ionic Pro's and the seems to keep the pet dander down as well.

Two long haired cats here. I feel your pain.
This is why we live in 800 sq ft. There is only so many places the hair can go. It's the same amount, just less space I have to vacuum.

The reason you live in a small place is because your cats shed? I would think that is you lived an a larger home the hair would be spread out and less noticeable. :idk:

Okay, no that is not necessariy the reason.
I am going to vacuum once a week no matter what. So, in the 800 sq ft place it takes me all of 10 minutes to vacuum the whole place. Where as in the 1800 sq ft house it would take me 25 minutes.

I've only heard that they suck (or actually, don't suck), but apparently they provide endless entertainment for cats, however. Go to YouTube and look up "Roomba Cat".

In relation to dirt and hair, the bin is huge; more than large enough to hold what's on the typcial floor. There's no question it works, you can see what it picks up. We keep a rather clean house in the first place, so it never comes close to filling up the bin. We use it to keep the floors clean of pet hair and tracked-in dirt during the week, between weekend vacuuming.

I love my Roomba!!! Use it exactly as you do. Love Scooba too until it just stopped, won't even turn on.
I have 2 large dogs and although Rottweiler hair always seem to be everywhere it doesn't touch the dust from my African Grey. They actually make dust.. It keeps them water repellent. I vacuum 3 times a week. I am actively looking for a home for her. Had her 15 years, won't let me pet her (likes men) and I will not have that dust all inside my cabin. She deserves to be with someone who can handle her and that's never been me. That will get me down to 2 dogs, 1 parrot, and one kid!!

I do that too, I put the attachment on and vacuum Puggy and she doesn't mind it at all.
I need to invest in a hand held vacuum for the couch.

Not much. Biggest problem is that with 4 cats and two long-haired humans, I have to cut hair off the brushes every time it runs. Well every time it ran, because it only lasted 3 months or so  Gets a "POS" rating from me.
