So I watched the ATT commercial where the dude his holding two droids. One for talking and one for web browsing and the hit line is you can do both with ATT network.

Well I got a call last night and that commercial popped into my head. So while on my droid while talking, I exited out of the phone part, and fired up the browser and what do you know. I was talking and browsing at the same time. For a company that cried foul when verizon said their 3g network was bigger, they sure arn't counter acting with something better.

Video it, the CDMA network cannot handle browsing and talking at the same time. LTE will be able to do it, but the current EVDO network cannot.

My guess is that you were pulling up your browser cache, refresh the page you are looking at.

No. I went here and clicked on on off topic and it loaded, not from cache. If it had loaded from cache then the threads wouldnt have changed.

Then you were most likely attached to a wifi network. It cannot use Verizon's network to talk and surf. It is not possible on CDMA.

What I hate is how every internet device has to have its own plan. I'd like to get wireless for my netbook but I'm not adding on top of my smartphone plan. You can get a usb dongle or our own wifi hotspot device. I know they make more money that way buts rediculous. It should be a plan per person, not device. Silly willys.

I have an app that shows my usuage. I only use around 200mb network a month and the rest is wifi.

I've got a 2G Curve on ATT. Web loads sorta slowish. It's not terrible all the time, but it sure isn't fast.

Altell and chad were worse. That little kid in rollercoaster commercial was o an episode of svu law & order. A played a little boy wanting to be a little girl. I never was comfortable watching hat commercial after that.

The luke wilson ad that gets me, is the one with the Verizon map that falls apart. It's a AT&T commercial... Verizon isn't going to build a map for AT&T that falls apart, so that means AT&T built a shitty map that completely falls to shit. What does that say about AT&T? Hey, we can't build a fucking map, but come buy your cell service from us, it's going to be fan fucking tastic...
