"The road model carries an Ohlins fork with titanium-coated stanchions. The body work is constructed of carbon fiber, and the factory listed the dry weight at 390lb (176.9kg). The production schedule was set for 50 copies of the VR 1000, the price of each listed at $49,490."

OK, that explains the headlight and turn signals...

"As thi is an off road vehichle it is sold with a bill of sale only."

Something ain't adding up here...It's not an actuall race bike, so where's the title?

Yep, they can't be titled in the US from what I've read in the past.

But damn, I want one.

Seems like you would be able to get it titled if you could pass an emissions test.

Maybe not.

One of my good friends has industrial grade velcro on the back of his one plate and the plate brackets of his 6 bikes.

You could title it as a custom built bike. That is not uncommon for choppers and such. Just wouldn't be able to title it as a HD.

yeah, certain states are more grey market friendly. still i wonder if bikes fit under the 25 year rule like cars do? for example: nissan's R31 skylines are legal here now due to age. i hope like hell that means i get to see one of the ultra rare R31 GTS-Rs before i die. not likely though

I contacted the seller out of curiosity.

He bought it from a Harley dealer in Singapore, and says the MSO states "Off-Road Only", which is strange for a homoligation unit, but that's Harley for you...

The VR1000 was homologated somewhere in Eastern Europe like Czech or Poland where road legal requirements were low.

Yeah, Poland, but why MSO it as off-road only?

Stupid.

Not sure. But all states have ways to title non titled vechicles.
