Two weeks later I hopped on my ZRX1200 and hit the road. I took a laptop and a camera and posted my stories on ADV and www.cycleforums.com. Well, early in the trip I ended up losing my electric vest (it was February). I was upset because I had limited funds. Someone offered to set me up a Paypal account and I declined. They persisted and I was like, fuck it, I do love money, so low and behold I had a Paypal account.

I also had tens of thousands of people following my trip, which became, at the time the largest ride report on ADV. So the funds added up and I was able to stay on the road for an extra 4 months. A select group of people at ADV in the "Jo Momma" sub-forum started a hate campaign because I was a jobless bum accepting donations from readers. Generally, the mods on ADV had my back.

Anyway, over the course of a couple of months the anti-Kaneman thread was half as big as the Kaneman thread. I was still getting lots of donations and had a shitload of fans but I was also getting hate mail and attracting some really crazy motherfuckers....one of which tried to stalk me across TN. Things escalated, I let them get to me, and I threatened to have sex with a couple of their wives.
