SHELTON, Conn. - A Connecticut woman and her newborn triplets have been found dead at home after she gave birth there.

The Connecticut Post newspaper reported the woman's mother found her and the three baby boys on the floor when she returned Tuesday afternoon to the home in Shelton.

Frances Hope told The Associated Press she didn't know whether her 26-year-old daughter was aware she was pregnant.

Police said it appears no one in the family knew about the woman's pregnancy.

Emergency medical workers who were called to the home found the woman unresponsive. Officials wouldn't reveal her name. They said it appears her triplets were carried full term.

Investigators said the causes of the four deaths are unknown but there were no signs of foul play.

Perhaps these women just dont know their own bodies that well. Some of them dont have significant weight gain, but I can imagine any of the other symptoms going unnoticed. :shrug: This however is just sad.

Well to be fair, periods aren't exactly regular and if she got pregnant on a type of birth control that stopped her period she wouldn't know. :idk: Still effed up but...:idk:

I think its safe to say she was a big fattie to not notice 3 extra babies in your stomach.

Knew a woman long ago that was 7 months pregnant before she found out she was pregnant. Granted, it was only one kid, and she was big, but I'd be willing to bet she wouldn't have even known with 3 kids. She was big. Did I say that yet? Cause she was big.

I will agree. I think there comes a point when life support shouldn't be used. I can understand using it for a brief period of time, but how many people come off life support and go on to live afterwards? I'm not talking about your normal medical patient that needs life support to get to the hospital and get through surgery, but rather the guy who simply won't live once the plug is pulled, no matter what surgery is done. Why keep those people going?
