I'd buy that before I'd buy the coupe.
It would replace the Mazda6 as the family car.
The wife prefers fagomatics so it would be the wifes car.

I guess they really do want to be like Porsche. Seriously though...that in AWD which is the way it comes I guess would be a badazz wagon.

I'm sure it a badass.
The back half looks like an updated Volvo 850.

I'd trade the wife's T-Blazer for it in a big hurry!

It looks better than the coupe imo. And it least in the wagon form you can feel more like its gargantuan weight is more justified.

My cinnabons exactly!
The market needs less SUV's and "crossovers" and more hot wagons. :dthumb:

the back looks good, the front still looks like ass, and it will still break transmissions and engine blocks.
Nice try, but until they can make a functional GTR, Ghey.

Looks boring. I think a Mazda 6 looks just as good for half the price.

The tall tail lights and the glass wrapping in to the roofline give it a Volvo V70 look. The quad storm sewer sized exhaust pipes set it a bit apart though.

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/08/nissan-gt-r-wagon-spotted-in-nagoya/
Let's get this over with right now: This isn't really a Nissan GT-R wagon. That said, it is a decidedly artful conversion of the Japanese automaker's M35 series Stagea wagon, a JDM load-lugger it produced from 2001 to 2007. Available in both rear- and all-wheel drive with a variety of V6 powerplants, the now-dead Stagea has been called the "GT-R Wagon" by many enthusiasts.
Spotted at Nagoya Auto Trend this weekend, this particular Stagea looks to be a super-clean conversion, with a well-integrated R35 GT-R front-end that's been carried through along the bodysides, with factory-like rocker panel indents and modestly rear quarter panels to keep the theme.
While we don't have information about what lurks underneath, the folks at GTRBlog speculate that the wagon could have something interesting like a stroked VQ-series V6 with a twin-turbo kit. Given the apparent high level of finish on the outside, we would hope for nothing less. Check out the galleries below for more shots of both the GT-R and Stagea wagons... and if you find any additional information on this particular car, drop us a tip!

Looks sweet.
so gay, wagons are fookin lame.
Wagons are very similar to 5-door hatchbacks, so according to you a Mazdaspeed 3 must be gay too.
Personally, if anything's gay, it's crossover SUV's. Wagons are a lot more practical and spacious inside.

That is definitely sweet but it's still just a grocery getter at the end of the day. Would I rock it? Hell yeah but I'd rather have the coupe assuming they are the same price.

I'd have to disagree. My Acadia has much more cargo space than any wagon. It's just as wide, just as long, if not longer and taller. And AWD FTW.

Depends which measurement you're talking about.
There are a few wagons with greater "luggage capacity", but the Acadia is clearly larger in "maximum cargo".
And several wagons on the market (new or used, so we can include the Magnum) have AWD.
Fwiw, if it weren't so damn expensive, the Acadia would be one crossover I'd consider.

A quick note about the Magnum. Dodge didn't want to take the CAFE hit on the Magnum since it was big, heavy (something AWD contributes to), and had some larger engines available. To avoid this they screwed around with the dimensions so it would be classified as an SUV. As far as the EPA is concerned the Magnum is a crossover SUV.
People think Crossovers are made to appeal to the consumer. That is part of it, but they are also made so that heavy vehicles with larger than average engines that get worse than average mileage don't penalize the manufacturers CAFE numbers. Crossovers are as much a creation of the government as they are of the consumer.

But is that with or without the 3rd row of seats? Looking at photos of the Acadia, there isn't all that much room behind the 3rd row.

Fold the 3rd row down. It folds flat. And if I fold the 2nd row down I can fit a full size sofa in the back. I can't shut the hatch all the way but it's close enough.

Then you have a pretty decent size crossover. When I think crossover I think of stuff like Muranos and CRVs.

Yeah this is much bigger, but like mentioned above it is also heavy and at 275hp it doesn't move out very quickly but the gas mileage is decent for such a big vehicle.

Aquaintence has one.
Says he gets bout 19mpg which isn't bad for a truck that size.

That's better than my Dakota ('02, extended cab V8) gets on average.
