Great. Now health and life insurance companies will require an IQ test to help determine how much they'll charge you for coverage.

Hollywood would be out of actors, pop radio would be better, and the democrats would lose their voting base.

Yep, the voters in the red-state "heartbread of America" are so much smarter.

The whole image of ghetto welfare recipients being responsible for voting Democrats into office is kinda laughable IMO, since not only are those types of people a small minority, but they're also the type of people you have to beat with a stick to get out and vote (assuming they've even registered to do so).

I remember the previous discussion (over at CF) about intelligence not exactly being concentrated in the southern (mostly red) states. I remember there were a number of people who refuted this, but the discussion pretty much supported this in the end.

Trying to portray Liberals as the stupid, or uneducated group is a very comical position indeed, and perhaps not in the best interests of Conservatives. A lot of those RED voting states are more than a tad shy on both collective IQ points, AND teeth.

I didn't say they were smarter. They are really about the same thing just different agendas. The common voter is not that intelligent or we wouldn't have the morons in office that we do.

I remember that thread.

IIRC, your source of data was Hollywood.

I may have indeed made that point, as there is often more than a glimmer of truth to stereotypes ;)

Regardless, IIRC, the point was salient.

This study has nothing to do with intelligence. It has to do with economics (the cost of eating good food) and actually caring about yourself. Most married guys "think" they don't have to look good because they already have some piece of ass (granted the ass may be fat and lazy).

Hmm, curious. There seems to be a convenient lapse in memory regarding the stats and charts also presented and discussed in that thread. Perhaps I should go find it.
