Maynard from Tool owns a vineyard and his own wine label:

I never knew this. Being a fan of both wine and Tool, I'm going to check my local liquor stores and if they don't have it, I'll order some. Love the name and label design.

Cool for him. Lots of celebs own a vineyard/winery. I try not to drink wine very often as it lowers your testosterone level and limits your bodies ability to burn calories but I do on a rare occasion enjoy a nice dry red.

I remember hearing that Sammy Hagar created Cabo Wabo tequila and sold it for $80M a couple of years back.

He didn't create it. He licensed a tequila and slapped his label on it.
Friend of mine went down there last year (invitation for select booze salesguys)
He's aparently a hell of nice guy and big into cooking

I tried it
First edition - (Limited release...not too many people heard of it) At first it was not bad...something new.
Second Edition - Then it had a kinda dark...kind new flavor to it
Third Edition - Then it was absolutely epic...full of win
Then they did a spin off that was a meh kinda wine cooler
Nowadays its just meh. technically good but kind of bland.

I used to hang out with him and his brother...starting a brand of wine sounds about right.
