I think if Canada shuts down their main line like they did with russia, it shouldnt be much of a game. They have Chara on defense, but really, thats all they have on defense, and their goalie isnt that hot.

I dont think americans really understand the pressure we put on our mens hockey team. They really are playing for a whole country. We dont hope for hockey gold, we demand it, and 4 years later, Gretzky still holds our last olympic loss on his own shoulders. Its still talked about when olympic hockey comes up.
Honestly, after our loss to you guys, I really hope Brodeur didnt see the papers or news programs :lol: He got torn apart. And he will never forget it, itll be talked about for years.
Its all about hockey, the rest is just airtime filler before the big game!

Dude, I dont think anyone who's seen them play would say theyve been perfect. Far from it. They got some good bounces and played a couple of decent games, but they never looked that good, aside from the first period of this game.

Football is easily better. It's not even close to the greatest sport in the world. I hate basketball and basketball is better. Baseball is much better than both of those. Soccer is better than those two. Lacrosse is as good as soccer. Football is better. Hell I would rather watch golf than hockey. I guess you guys need something to do when there is that much snow on the ground. I like how when MLB went on strike, everyone got really really mad. When the NHL went on strike, no one cared.

They were all complaining about playing Canada because the crowd was yelling like it was a Saturday night in Death Valley and none of the players have ever been in a situation where the crowd was actually doing what a crowd does...

speed skating is a very irritating sport, something awesome happens and they disqualify the people that cause the awesome. Awesome should be rewarded, not discouraged.
The canadian that won the gold that kicked the south korean down was awesome. They were all like "he fell on his own" but that bearded canadian bastard took that dudes arm out. It was awesome.

Oh man, you can get dq'd for almost everything in speed skating. But if you cross into the other racers lane except for lane change times, by even a cm, your dq'd.

Canada just won gold in the 5000M relay with US winning bronze. Short track relays look confusing as fuck.
I don't know why, but it really irritates me that these little asian bastards are so good at speed skating. You would think one of those big sprinter dudes could own this sport easy. Ya, but did you see the game? They slept on the ice till the 3rd. Thats what they do. Conserve till the end, and explode. Sure, if you can score in the first and second your gonna. But they play tight defense in the neutral zone so they dont have to move much. Theres a lot of gas left at the end.

Looks like USA has the most medals won by a country in a winter olympics now that they got one in Bobsled and assured one in Hockey.
Canada has broken its medal count and gold medal records too. Also most gold ever by a host nation.
