I'll watch sports but I dont get all boner about them. Growing up in a state where football is first, then academics really can annoy a person. Sucks when I was in high school and most the school money went towards football than shit that we really needed. So yes, I have some hatred towards football.

I disagree, if your guys had the heart and passion, you'd have had the team full of superstars. The olympics isn't about 17 days. It's about a lifetime of training to be the best in the world.
The most deserving team got the medal, there were no screw jobs or botched calls. It was a good game that your team lost. Suck it up. A congratulations would have been nice. And saying shit like USA only played 15 minutes of hockey is hilarious. They didn't have a great game, but the score was only 3-2 at the end. With a great equalizer to get to OT.
Canada deserves it but don't act like it wasn't close or anything. And out of all the sour grapes around here, how come no one mentioned the over all metal tally for each country?

I'll watch sports but I dont get all boner about them. Growing up in a state where football is first, then academics really can annoy a person. Sucks when I was in high school and most the school money went towards football than shit that we really needed. So yes, I have some hatred towards football.

And no, not everything in the maratimes is 100miles or less from a border. Most of NB and all of NS are farther than that. All of PEI and NL, as you said. aside from southwestern nb, we are all more than that from the border.

Moncton is about 200kms from the border as the crow flies according to google maps. If you don't count the little horn at the bottom that joins to Nova Scotia, it averages about 200-225kms across using the scale on google maps...

I'm not gonna argue about it anymore. But, if you look at google maps, go to options and select the rotate option, you can lay the scale over any section of the map. Our shitty little town is surprisingly close to the 100 miles.

You keep going back to teams and team awards here. So far your argument has been been complete shit. You have yet to even begin to explain how Crosby is a better player. Only that he has a "gold medal". He is a GREAT player. I can only dream of the talent that guy possesses on the ice. But I dont like players who get protected all game and stand at the goalpost waiting for passes and junk rebounds. I do that..... because I don't have skill. Chara isnt 'big', he's abnormally huge. Guys that size usually have a hard time to skate, let alone play hockey. He's the exception, not the norm.

Scotty Bowman was complimenting taylor mays how he moved/skated so well for someone his size. Prety damn good if its comming from someone like bowman :rockwoot:

I used to see Dave Andreychuk and Marty St. Louis around a lot. Andreychuk is pretty damn big (as is Vinny Lecavalier), St. Louis not so much.:lol:
