I took a video with an iPhone, I click on the button that says "Send to Youtube" I fill out all the info and click Publish, then it tells me it can't publish it.

What am I doing wrong? Anyone?

A .mov file "should" work, but FLV, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4 files load better.

I believe your phone is doing a preemptive strike and telling you that your video is not worth watching.

It's that new Roger Ebert app.

Damn it! Youtube is pretty selective, that's for sure.

Maybe a dumb question, but you do already have a YouTube account setup, right?

Yes I do. And the phone is logged into that account.

Hey, maybe it's just that I need to be on a wifi network for it to go through?

I know that you can't download apps over a certain size without being on wifi...maybe that's it? I only have tried it at work.

Not sure about an iphone, but my droid wouldn't upload a video to youtube through the regular network. (I am guessing it maybe had something to do with file size)?
I had to use wifi to upload it.

ETA: What the hell? I didn't see that part of your post when I started typing.

I added it right after I posted the first sentence. Sorry for the mindfreak.

I'll try it again at home on the network instead of 3G.
