Inspection is $15, and registration is $18. Less than half of one (small) speeding ticket... and if you don't have the papers...

inspection is only 6 bucks here, but finding a place to do them is another story. many shops make it difficulty and have a narrow window on when you can bring the bike in for one.

That sucks. There are 2-3 places that do bike inspections here, even in this one-traffic-light town. And they'll do it anytime. Of course, I just learned that the inspetion I got is only good till October. I'll have to go back in October and get it redone so it lasts till next October. Makes no sense to me. :?:

In ny the inspections are good for one year from when its done but the reggies all expire on 4/30. So if you buy a bike now you will pay to register it for a month and a half then have to do it again for "next year" so thats an 85 dollar donation to NYS :td:

ND regestrations all expire 12-31 regardless of when you get them.

I think you get a discount if you purchase a bike late in the year however.

its funny, in NY trailers and motorcycles have the same reggie stickers. trailers all expire at the end of the year but bikes are in april. And theres no way NY will give a discount, these bastards want/need our money :td:

actually, I'm surprised NY hasn't yet tried to charge EXTRA for bikes registered late in the year. :td:
