I don't know if this show has made it to TV down south yet, but it's obviously one of those Canadian shows that's produced for you guys. It's a cop drama that stars Aaron Douglas (Chief Tyrol from Battlestar Galactica) and the show was created by Craig Bromell, the former head of the Toronto police union.

If the first show is anything to go by, there will be a lot of situations seen from the cop point of view, painting politicians in a bad light. I was sceptical, but the first episode was pretty good.

"The Bridge" that you see many times throughout the show is known as The Bloor (or Prince Edward) Viaduct here, in Toronto. It cuts over Bayview Avenue and The Don Valley Parkway, which is a major artery into the downtown core. There were so many suicides on this bridge that they had to install the high fencing that you can see on its sides.

You'll want to try and catch the first show then, because it explains how Douglas's character goes from being a cop, to the head of the police union.

They've been advertising pretty heavily for this. The main guy looks like that guy from Law & Order.

I'm not a huge fan of cop shows though.

It looks like it will be on CBS at some point down here. It is kind of odd to me as CBS has (sort of) one Canadian cop drama that they support poorly already in "Flashpoint".

Flashpoint is also shot in Toronto. You can practically see my office in several episodes. I stopped watching it fairly early on though. Just not my thing, though I generally like cop dramas.

CBS was going to order up The Bridge a while back, during the writers' strike, but that fell apart when the strike ended.

CBS has The Bridge listed on their website as one of their shows.

This is a little misleading because it's far more of a cop drama, than it is a shoot-em-up.
