They will be trading votes, influence, and potentially money (at least on Pickens' side) to advance two equally bad ideas. That hasn't been dead.

I can't believe Kerry would even talk to the guy that funded all those fake swiftboat attack ads. You can say what you will about Kerry, but he's a big man.

The way I see it Kerry wants someone well known from the business side of energy to support Cap and Trade while Pickens needs someone well known in the Senate to advance getting the land he needs for wind farms and power lines. Kerry is a politician first and that is usually going to trump any "bigness" you feel he may have.

Still, when EVERYONE tells you not to talk to the guy, and he's arguably the guy that cost you the fucking PRESIDENCY, you have to admit that ulterior motives aside, it takes a big guy to still wanna deal with this cat, no matter what the gain.

Still, when EVERYONE tells you not to talk to the guy, and he's arguably the guy that cost you the fucking PRESIDENCY, you have to admit that ulterior motives aside, it takes a big guy to still wanna deal with this cat, no matter what the gain.
I think it just further proves the point that politicians are soulless and void of any or all dignity.
