Hey,I was looking at getting another helmet, Shark RSX Holyang, and looked up the weight situation. I was kinda surprised by what I found. Figures are from Helmet Harbor so if you want to argue about it contact them. Note the weights are for mediums except Schubert.

Fit has always been most important to me over weight. It is interesting to see shark top the list though.

I'm getting old and function is my most important point as well. Does the damn thing fit and can I get the shields changed without swearing? Most important to me is,can I turn my head at speed without lift or the visor flying open?!? GOD I HATE THAT!!! Oh and can I get my speaker system in it without problems!

As far as weight,if I get the Shark,I'll have number 3,4,and 5 on the list. I'll never have 1 or 2 'cause I've never been crazy with the design of those helmets.

Nice to see my RF-1000 is on the lighter side. I always thought HJC/KBC were heavier.

As always though, fit is the most important factor:dthumb:

Hey yea, what the fuck? Hmmmm who's bullshitting us? Although, that light of a helmet sounds a little far fetched.... I wonder if they're weighing the the extra smalls. Remember the weights on HH are for MEDIUMS!

I'm sure every manufacturer fudges on weight a little just like the bike manufacturers do. HH is independent so I have to assume those weights are correct. :idk: However I picked one up and it felt quite a bit lighter than my Shoei TZ-R

One thing I've noticed is I think it has something to do with the center of gravity or how the helmet "carries" the weight. :idk: I agree that I can't see any reason for HH to lie about the figures considering they carry all of the different helmets for sale except Shark which is on closeout with them I think.

Bastard!!! I keep looking at the "Elbows" version but it's alittle too :pat: and Ben Spies fan boyish for me.

on another note, did you see the AGV 2-piece leather like yours going for $460 shipped? How do you like yours?

Yeah I didn't like the elbowz version as much... it covered up a lot of the carbon and I just didn't like the scheme much. I like mine a lot.

That's a good deal for those leathers. I don't have an AGVsport 2-piece though. I have teknic chicane pants and an AGVsport Torino jacket. I like the jacket a lot, and it held up very well in my crash except for the big agv decal got shredded up a bit. It's sewn on though and held up a lot better than most decals. I also had to get my full-circumference zipper reversed by a tailor so it would match the pants, but I think it was more due to Teknic's zipper convention being different than most manufacturers, and not AGVsport's.

Thanks! Now if AGV would make that suit in WHITE or wht/blk or something other than black/gray/xxx yuck...no offense.
