Useful.
You know, this is one of the main reasons I haven't made a point of getting my license to carry.
The burden of keeping the weapon properly "concealed" on my person.

Is that a gun in your pocket, or you just happy to see me?

It's much easier to just look for people wearing these T-Shirts...

This chart IMO really only applies to people using pockets or waistbands to hold their firearm. A quality holster with a good belt and a normal loose fitting t-shirt or polo or something similar prevents all of the mentioned ways except the bending at the waist part.

Yea, I was going to say....none of those apply to anyone I know that carries.
I use a Galco Skyops holster for my 1911. Supposedly designed for Air Marshalls to wear with tucked in shirts. I prefer untucked with a jacket, but I can carry with my shirt tucked if I need.

How's it hold it Troy? I've heard a few people complain that the gun is loose in the holster, so it moves and rubs.

People are using 1911's for concealed carry? I dunno, just seems kinda.......big.

I knew a guy once who was tall and skinny and carried a desert eagle .50. It disapeared on him when he carried. He was just built to hide that weapon properally. :idk:

I carry a Springfield XD40 in an Uncle Mike's IWB holster.
I'm always self conscious about it, but it's practically invisible with the right shirt.

I agree. I carry a 357 and my gf rarely notices. Even when I picked her up from the airport. I've taken a 44mag concealed to a Borders without clearing out the store so it's obvious it wasn't spotted there.
Plus living in Georgia, I don't have to conceal it. I can have it as open as I want.

Technically, you can open carry in PA- except "cities of the first class" (philly). Reallistically, I'd bet most people would call the cops.

Most people don't even notice when someone is open carrying. And cops have no right to get a single bit of info from you for open carrying in this state. They MUST have a reasonable suspicion of criminal activity to even ask for your name.
What don't you like about it?
It's uncomfortable.

Open carry here. Most people don't even bat an eye.
Actually, lawmakers here are talking about legislation to cc without a permit.

I have a Crossbreed Supertuck, and even though I am a fairly small guy (5'8 160) I can carry my Sigma .40 in a tight t shirt and it isn't noticable unless you know what you are looking for. And personally as long as its covered its concealed, and I don't care if people notice or not. If seeing that I have a gun just MIGHT prevent a yahoo from committing a crime Im ok with that. I don't WANT to have to use my gun

Around here, while not as bad as NYC its still not exactly a "gun friendly" culture with all the queens people moving out here.
However, if someone walks around with a holster people will just think they are on the job.

Any issue with wear of your jeans/pants? That's the main thing I have seen with them.

I use cheap holsters with belts I buy from Hot Topic or a nylon strap belt, and nobody ever notices mine. A baggy t-shirt, a loose button down or my bike jacket and I'm fine. You don't have to constantly fuck with your gun to keep it in place even with a crappy holster as long as your clothes fit. And you shouldn't be carrying in a pocket anyway, too much lint and risk of catching on clothing.
And marko, let me know some details about that holster, I might buy it from you if you hate it so much.
