It's like turning INTO the skid. It's not exactly intuitive the first time. I'll bet if that happens again, though, he'll find the presence of mind to not chop the throttle.

I know, most people's reaction is to let off. Just a natural reaction.

I learned by riding the fiddy. One high side and that was it for me.

You can highside without chopping the throttle pretty easily too...ofcounsel is a very experienced rider who's had his share of crashes, I think he's been in this situation before.
